This is a jewel of a hotel. The design is fantastic, with a few wonderful quirks and lots of quality touches. The bar is great and hotel staff displayed a lovely balance of professionalism and friendliness. The little clique of shops and restaurants surrounding the hotel makes you feel like (OK, it's a cliche) you've found a perfect litlle oasis. I've stayed at five star hotels in the Brisbane CBD. There is something about the Emporium that made me feel like I had made a much smarter and more individual choice.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at.
(for the $$$ you would hope so)

Attention to detail is everywhere & the rooms have huge plasmas & bose sound systems. Hotel is in a good location too, only a short walk to the main street in the Valley full of restartants & bars.

Only a one nite stay here but would have loved it to be longer. Great room, great bathroom (incl washing machine!) helpful staff, nice little roof-top pool (one lane!) and sundeck. Booked hotel online and mentioned it was an anniversary trip; found a bottle of bubbly in our room to welcome us - nice touch. The hotel is in Fortitude Valley which is great for going out, but is a little way from the CBD (where most sightseeing is). As long as you know this and are happy to use taxis then you should be fine. Great hotel, highly recommended, especially for thoe who like the cool modern vibe over the traditional older places.

Good service, as we arrived late at night. The room was phenomenal - from the bed to the tele and the Molton Brown toiletries! Inviting and exquisite.
Cocktail lounge was wonderful - nice wines and fab food!

We stayed here on our honeymoon for three nights. The hotel itself is beautiful and trendy and the room was large with good amenities. There was a kitchen in the room and the Molton Brown products were a nice touch. What I felt let the place down was the staff. Check-in was fast and we weren't particularly welcomed. That was the only contact we had with staff as when we came in and left the hotel, we weren't even glanced at. After staying in six other hotels on our honeymoon, where they had all been so welcoming and lovely, this was a disappointing end to it. The location is not great and is a good 15-20 minute walk from the city, although there are restaurants right beside the hotel. If we return to Brisbane, we would not stay here again.

The most comfortable bed i've ever slept in!!! Stayed for three nights in early January with my girlfriend. Lovely hotel overall but the stand out aspect is the rooms; design decor and facilities. Nice staff and real value for money.

One night only before leaving Australia after a long trip so it was nice to stay somewhere very comfortable and well equipped. Good restaurant facilities in the immediate area but not as close to the heart of the city as we had hoped - but that was our fault for not checking properly. All in all it is a good, modern hotel with all the facilities that you you want for a city break.
