Great family day out. Took our 3 and 6 year old and our own snorkeling stuff. There is an option between their snorkeling gear or glass bottom boat. We did the boat where we saw turtles, a reef shark and masses of fish. So beautiful. We took turns snorkeling as my three yr old couldn't do it. So amazing. It was a lovely sunny day. The resort pool which you can go in was excellent too. Went for a rainforest. My only criticism would be the cafe which was a 40 min wait for food so we just grabbed sausage rolls. Think they were a chef down though so hopefully not a common happening. Altogether a really fabulous day out.

We chose the later departure half day option. Good quick ride over with great views. We did the glass bottom boat of the reef. A great touristy waste that was. Didn't see much. We enjoyed strolling around and enjoying one of the places to eat. Definitely would think twice about doing it again, but still wasn't bad.

Lovely island with beautiful colorful fish and coral we took our own snorkeling gear so opted for the glass bottom boat tour which was very good, informative. Opted for the a la carte restaurant on green island and my brie salad and iced coffee was delicious. All in all a great day. Wouldn't stay on the island due to the number of tourists dropped off daily but the hotel did look nice.

We booked a return ferry journey to Green Island for the day. We chose great adventures as their later departure time of 10.30 suited us. We paid $84.00 each. We had both been to the reef and were just looking for an island day out.
We booked dirctly at the terminal. The guy serving was very nonchalant and acted like he had much better things to do than sell us tickets. I asked what boat we would be sailing on his reply was "we decide on the day". Helpful.
Thank god we turned up to the terminal early - the queue was insane but luckily we were one of the first on the boat. I really felt for everyone at the back of the queue stood in the blistering heat with no shade.
The journey was great very smooth but absoutley packed. I agree that this is aimed at asian tourists but I dont see what the problem is with this - at the end of the day its just an overpriced ferry to Green Island.
Green island was great, we picked up our snorkelling gear and had a great day. It is very busy like everyone says but there are ways around this...ie dont sit in the middle of the main beach surounded by people...take the time to walk 100 meters and you will pretty much have a beach to yourself. The eating areas were busy...between 12 and 1...so go outside these times and its all good.
Overall Great Adevtures did everything it said on the tin. Do not book this trip if you are expecting luxury or outstanding customer service. This is a ferry that takes you to GI and back again - no frills.

This is a great one day tour at a reasonable price.

My wife (Japanese) and I went on the Green Island tour as a warm-up for a full reef day. We took the 5hour tour.

The boat was good as expected with easy check-in and relatively friendly staff, though nothing over-the-top as an experience. The staff did come around on-board and let us know where to get our snorkeling gear, where to find lockers, etc.

We brought our own water and snacks with us so most of the time was spent in the water or on the beach (unfortuntaley without adding enough sunscreen).

Saw a sting ray, manta ray, and lots of other fish. Saw a couple of smaller reef sharks from the boardwalk as well. No sea turtle for us unfortunately.

The food prices on the isnald seemed surprisingly reasonable for having a captive customer base and getting change for the locker from the nearby bar was no problem.

Overall wish we had taken the 7 hour day.
