This restaurant was a delightful answer to a rainy day in Cairns the day post-half ironman. My friend and I spent nearly two hours enjoying flavour-full mushroom gnocchi, clam chowder and zingy watermelon mocktails, followed by a melt-in-your-mouth pear tart confection and a salted caramel parfait with popcorn crust and coffee chocolate sauce. The cheese platter and herbal teas to end were a nice touch, and all of the above came to just over $100.
The atmosphere was low key with paper tabletops and staff in jeans, but thoughtful details such as the beautifully fresh herb garden on display, a stunning large tank of freshwater fish and excellent service made the experience a lovely one. Views of the marina and mountains are among the best in Cairns. Highly recommended!
