I thoroughly enjoyed myself, it was a great trip. The weather did make a change to the plans but that could not be helped. Could not say anything but positive reviews for Andy, knew what he was talking about and all round top bloke. Due to the forced changes, he paid for everyone's lunch out of his own pocket! The company flew another driver into Cooktown to drive us back, a reassuring feeling knowing they do take your safety as a priority. It was a bonus of having commentary from the twin Andy's on the way home.
I will be back up north again in the not to distance future and will have another go at the Bloomfield Track. My only disappointment was I did not book my other tours through them, compared to the other providers you are not just a number. And they were the only tour guides that texted a confirmation time for pick up the night before. This was a long day out, but well worth the time & money.
I would not hesitate to recommend this superb tour.

The tour itself is a massive day but you get to see heaps on the way. I was a little disappointed as we did not get to do the Bloomfield Track or the Daintree Rainforest but these were circumstances which were out of the vendors hands due to a previous cyclone. The tour guide was extremely friendly, knowledgeable on the local areas, plants, animals, and other information. Was a great trip to see a less remote part of the world.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Operating through remote regions does have it's challenges every now and then. Fortunately Cyclone Ita didn't do too much damage to Cooktown and we are back on the Bloomfield track as of the 1st May 2014.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight trip to Cooktown, we have wanted to visit there for a long time. Pick up from our Cairns hotel was fine & coffee & scone was excellant at The Heritage Lodge & Spa. Lunch at The Lion's Den was lovely. We stayed at the Seaview Motel & it was very good.We preferred our return driver Gary to our outgoing one Cathy.
Would love to go again with a stay in the rainforest next time!

Scotty, our guide, was fun and knowledgeable. We loved Branden, the Aboriginal guide- he knocked mangoes from trees, taught us to find clams and even cook up a fresh turtle for us to try! The rainforest was beautiful! Loved the fresh water swim. It is all day and pricey, but we thought it was worth every penny.

First day of the tour was all that was advertised. We saw lots of interesting places and morning tea was lovely in the forest, lions den pub was a unique experience. Daryle our tour guide was full of interesting facts and information. Arrived in cook town to be told a crocodile was cruising under the jetty, mangos abundant on the ground and generally a friendly Australian outback town. Scenery was amazing. Accomodation was great. Glad we did the trip.
HOWEVER we would not recommend the two day tour. Second day was a rush job...driver was tired and in a hurry to get home. Did not follow the advertised trip in the brochure, was basically a fast expensive bus ride back from cook town.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate all feedback.
Adventure North has been operating 9 years with very few unhappy customers as you can see by the other reviews. All our guides are undergoing a thorough advanced training programme this month. Being a very small company we pride ourselves on our tours and service.
