“Delicious fusion of French & Japanese in a lovely location”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Service overall was excellent, albeit a little slow to start with. We decided on this restaurant because of its great reviews plus we wanted to try French/Japanese cuisine. We were not dissappointed with our choice. The location is very pretty, one of the nicest spots in Cairns. The menu is enticing and decided to go with the Chef's special 3 course. Great value and excellent entree, main and dessert. The 4 wines we chose to accompany our meal were each devine, both white and red. Would highly recommend the dishes we enjoyed - Confit duck salad, seafood salad with a beetroot & sabayon sauce, sauteed seafood with an Americaine sauce & the green tea trio dessert. Great experience

“As good as perfect!”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

From the moment we arrived, the wait staff made us feel welcome. They were prompt, friendly and attentive without appear being too pushy. We both tried the lunch special; the garlic bread was a little too hard but still tasty, the cauliflower soup was subtle and delicious & the Barramundi coated in crispy grated potato was just perfect (I wish it came with more vegetable or salad on the side though). The dessert selection was simply a delight. Both the Green tea cake and the Cheese cake were subtle, delicious and not overly sweet. This is my new favourite hangout. I cannot wait to return and try all the other desserts! Highly recommended. Oh and don't forget to try the Affogato! It would be the 2nd best Affogato I've had in my entire life. :)

“An excellent, novel, combination of tastes”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Again, expensive as most of the restaurant here seem to be. I was mildly resistant at first. But oh, the taste was exquisite (and I don't say that often).

“Friendly atmosphere and good food.”
Reviewed 10 June 2014 via mobile

We really enjoyed our recent meal at this waterside restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, without being overly so. Our mains ( seafood and duck) were well presented, and the home made bread was excellent. My only criticism is that I would have liked more vegetables with my main course. The markup on our wine was not too fearsome. We will undoubtedly make a return visit to M Yogo.

“Sublime....... :):):)”

French food lovingly made by beautiful japanese people... Finesse, precision, food as art... Very reasonably priced, especially when you think how much prep time would be involved to make such impeccable dishes... The soup is impossibly smooth, everything is perfectly seasoned, the desserts are delicate and flavoursome - so many more notes than just sweet... A cut above no doubt about it... Nothing on the menu has ever disappointed me...
