I had a wonderful evening with Reef teach in Cairns. A fascinating presentation on many aspects of the reef. As they predicted, it made snorkling a much more rewarding experience. A must for anyone interested in the biodiversity of the reef.

Great presentation on the animals, landscape and history of the reef. Well worth a visit before or (after) visiting in the reef.

I participated in the Reef Teach Underwater Naturalist activity with four colleagues, and we were completely blown away by how awesome it was.

Gareth, the Marine Biologist, took us on a private snorkelling tour of the GBR, and it was honestly the best stop on our trip around Australia. A couple of our party had snorkelled on the reef before, and both agreed that this experience was so much more enriching - Gareth started by briefing us on what to look for, and would periodically dive down into the water to point out items of interest. He showed us sharks, turtles, barracuda, nudibranchs, different types of wrasse, clownfish and even giant clams.

Without Gareth there, we would have missed so many of the diverse species that live on the reef - we just wouldn't have known what to look for.

Gareth is a delightful guy who is obviously very passionate about what he does. He's terrific at explaining the biology of the reef in layman's terms, and has a positive and optimistic attitude,

This session does cost a little more than a regular snorkelling session, but I definitely felt we got our money's worth. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

We attended this lesson with a group of teenagers and I was concerned that two hours would be too long for such a group. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the instructor kept their attention for the entire time. They kept them interested and the interactive show was very informative.
