Went out with them last week. Not one person caught a fish. The driver moved the boat twice and seemed determined not to use fuel or have a crack.

Sometimes fish do not bite, but at least have a go at trying to find them.

Never again.

We took the afternoon half-day river fishing option.
We met John at Finger Wharf B (very easy to find) about 1pm (finished about 5pm). There was no need to bring anything except a camera & some sunscreen. Dress code was shorts, t-shirt and thongs. After a few mins of orientation, we motored out and then took off to a local estuary to catch some live bait. John did all the work and we just watched as it all happened. Then we set off to Trinity inlet to start our fishing. John moved the boat twice to adjust the fishing with the weather and tides.

During our fishing, all gear & bait were supplied, along with soft drinks. There was also a toilet on-board. The boat was powerful and very stable. It didn't have any issues with a bit of rough weather that we encountered.

Whilst fishing John did all the "gooey" work for you if required e.g putting bait on the hook and replacing it etc.

When we caught a fish, John provided clear instruction on how to reel it in. He then removed the fish from the hook and helped you pick it up for a photo. He then assisted with calling a local fish restaurant so that when we returned to the wharf, we could walk to the restaurant (5 min walk), and they were ready to accept the cleaned, gutted scaled fish and take our dinner reservation. This was truly wonderful to be able to catch a big King Salmon and have it cooked that evening.

Overall we had a great afternoon and as a result a wonderful dinner.

We left with no sunburn and no fish smell. This tour would be fine for the seasoned professional or, like us, the amateur.

Thanks John for a great afternoon.
