A very basic place. It needs a big overhaul to get it up to a reasonable standard.
The pool looks great, but the boards surrounding it are very uneven, split, and need replacing or repairing. The outdoor chairs are split and uncomfortable, and the casual dining area around the pool needed a big clean up. The floor was dirty grubby (food, leaves and dirt) and needed cleaning up.
The rooms are small but clean.
Bathrooms are tiny and in need of repair/updating.
The highlight is the restaurant. It overlooks the pool. Staff are well trained and helpful. Food is fresh and well presented. Even so, I wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms nearer to the pool have high volumes of traffic going past the rooms very noisily - at all hou...

A little disappointed that we weren't told that the daily complimentary breakfast was for only cold foods. You had to pay extra per head if you wanted hot foods for breakfast.

Food at restaurant ok, but customer service is excellent and rooms were well kept every day that we were there.

The room 24 didnot have a frigerater I was told to get ice from the bar. The shower head shook a lot not a good stay at your hotel.. Other hotels I stayed at had free bus to the main street area, you charched $4.00 each way. not good.

We found the3 Colonial Club to be very well priced and offer great rooms, The heritage restaurant with its views over the pool offered a relaxing location to enjoy our breakfast, Will definitely be staying again

The pool and grounds setting and value for money was excellent, while the faulty colour on the tv and the hard bed was disappointing. Looking over the pool while eating breakfast was a joy. Will return.

Evening flight to Cairns, lobby inviting and staff very nice. Attempted to find my room without success, too dark do read room numbers, occupants standing outside, seemed to be plenty of extended stay residents, very creepy, building run down, construction material stored behind building only few meters from stairs. Promptly returned cards to front desk and explained that I will be finding another hotel!

Pictures DO NOT represent this property. Booked through travel agent, non-refundable rooms, after viewing this location I understand why! Very misleading reviews, this gal has traveled many continents, won't book with Ibis again. Have requested refund, unfortunately no success yet. If there were a way to give a lower rating than terrible, I would! Good luck turning this location around!

We love the lagoon pools. There are several and they are spread out and really private with tropical surroundings. not too deep so good for kids of all ages. Rooms are bullet proof concrete block but nice and cool on hot days. Good info center on activities around town. Breakfast is huge in the buffet selection. Used to have free transfer to airport but no more. Distant from town but they do have shuttle. Nice RNR while we wait for a day to catch next flight.

Room Tip: get near the pool on ground floor for good access
