The rooms were simple and clean and the beds were ok The greenery is nice . . The breakfast was tasty but a bit limited especially the fruit etc . Staff were polite and helpful . Overall good value for money as the cost was reasonable , not the standards high .
Now for the negatives .....
1.No hot water at breakfast , hotel bulk coffee (which is universally awful) was available , but the hot water dispenser urn disappeared an did not com back
2.No pool towels in the box at the pool , which said pool towels"" No staff in evidence . Had to go back to the room in wet bathers and dry off . Bit sloppy really .
3. 3 buses blocked the entrance side by side to the hotel by side at 9 am ish . I had to run an errand in the morning and return and wished to park in the car park near the exit close to our room but not possible due to tour buses inconsiderate behavior . I had not the time or interest to cause a scene and simply took an inconvenient park and walked .

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a road trip from Brisbane.
The first thing to say is that the hotel is big and it has become slightly dated. That said, it is not without charm, and the lush vegetation and excellent swimming pools and nice looking restaurant provide some atmosphere.
The room we stayed in was a standard king room. It was medium sized and again a bit tired and in need of updating.
Our deal included a buffet breakfast which was very good, specially if you wander over to the tables overlooking the pool.
You can book trips at the hotel and we went on a trip up the skyrail (cableway over the rainforest) and back down on the train. I would recommend this trip.
We stayed in the rainy season so the hotel was not vey full and parts of it (the pool bar) were closed.
The hotel has a magnificent main swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation and rocks and waterfalls but if does have its own version of the great barrier reef in the middle of the pool as it narrows. There is a faded warning message to one side but you will not see it and it will take the skin off your knees. You have been warned!

The hotel is some two or three kilometers from the CBD so its a bit of a walk, but it does run shuttle buses throughout the day

My wife and I (27, 28) stayed here for 3 nights. The front desk was very helpful and friendly and so were the cleaning people. The location is excellent, no need for a taxi anywhere. The Internet was free but you get what you pay for because we were in a central room and still couldn't get a signal. My only gripe is really the breakfast. We were conned into purchasing the breakfast when we checked it for a special rate. You had to commit to it at check in and commit to what days you would eat. It cost $15 per person and was not worth it. You can find better breakfast on the esplanade. Still worth a stay

Fantastic service especially in the restaurant for breakfast which was really good with lots of variety and choice..both continental and buffet offered. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained and the pool also. Wifi was not available in the room that we stayed in but they had a room in the reception area for guests only, that one could enter with the room key there was coffee/tea facilities comfy furniture and a PC for guests use.
All the staff were always very helpful and pleasant and there was a shop on sight with nice souvenir merchandise.
Also there was "Happy Hour" in the bar in the grounds every day.
All in all it was a joy to stay there.
