Staff were amazingly friendly and efficient in their jobs. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt like they were happy in their jobs.
My First room had an interconnecting door, but due to poor soundproofing I could hear the neighbours conversation. Went to reception and within seconds had a new room (same type and layout) which was the room next door. No sound issues in this second room.
Dined at Coco's all but one night, two buffet dinners and three a la carte menus. Excellent value with the Accor Advantage Plus Card.
Pool was a good size and we used the voucher for spa treatments.
Highly recommend this hotel.
A nice touch was the cold water they put in your car each time you used the valet parking.

I have stayed here before when it was the sebel. I took a mystery deal and was a little disappointed to find out it was this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the new owners pullman. The staff were more than accommodating, taking bags and parking cars, all the stuff you expect from a 5 star. Blockout curtains crossover to stop the early wakeup, if a sleep in is needed this is a major bonus. The a/c is ducted but the temp can be adjusted and fan speed control right beside bed. A few reasons i took a point off. The tv signal is like an old analogue signal "fuzzy". Room service was prompt but i asked for a medium steak not a well done and 4 beans were the only veg on the plate. They also don't trust online bookings and will put you on the floor with no mini bars in rooms. But they will bring it too you. Views are not fantastic, a glimpse of the harbour can be seen to the right.

This hotel is really wonderful, with clean and spacious rooms, an extaordinary breakfast and a beautiful swimming pool area. We spent our honeymoon in Australia and went to Cairns to visit the Daintree Rainforest. After having a very packed day in our trip to the rainforest, we enjoyed a relaxing evening bath in the pool and we were practically alone, since only other couple was there.
Its situation is very convenient, close to the harbour, the promenade (the Esplanade) and the main area of trendy restaurants.
The reason I've taken out a point from my qualification is the Interneet fee and its speed. Certainly, there was a wi-fi connection that worked really slow. I asked the receptionist if I could connect through the wire free of charge, and they told me it was possible... However, at the check-out time I had to pay $25 per night! It could have been a misunderstanding, but the wired connection was really really slow! How can they charge such an expensive fee in a luxurious hotel and offer this poor service? They badly need to speed the Internet connectivity!

We have recently implemented free internet for our Le Club Silver members and above and this (Le Club) is free to join so if you are a regular traveller it maybe something you should consider.
