We stayed a week at this fantastic Big 4 resort. We had a standard caravan site within easy walking distance to all amenities. Service was excellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We booked all our tours through the main desk also. Facilities are brilliant (especially for children) with a wide array of activities on offer - mini golf, jumping pillow, tennis, playground, waterpark, pools, buggies, bike riding, outdoor movies - the list goes on. You need to pay a small deposit for things such as putters, balls, tennis gear etc, which is to be expected. It would be better if they just took a small 'bond' at the start of the week and you could get gear as needed, as finding money each time the kids want to play mini golf (even though it is refunded) is a bit of a pain - but that's a minor thing.
The only area for improvement is the on-site cafe. We only ate there once for lunch, but with no other customers we waited an hour for what was eventually a very sub standard chicken burger and nachos, and we in fact returned one of the meals it was so bad. Two other young girls near us waited well over an hour for fish and chips. Perhaps just a bad day, but detracts from an otherwise excellent park.

It's about a 15 minute drive out of the main part of Cairns - too far to walk or ride your bike - so be prepared to drive in and out of town, or use the transport provided.
Would definitely visit again if in the area.More
