No complaints, good location, good food, good rooms, quiet enough.
More than happy and would stay again. great views and two nice swimming pools. You get what you pay for even shuffled us around the first night after our travel agent messed up

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were large, beds comfortable.
The food was very good, plentiful and good quality.
One piece of constructive criticism-The key-card, when removed cut power to the room making it very stuffy, it would have been wiser to have had the rooms wired such that the ceiling fan was still operating. I can understand the need to isolate air-con when rooms are empty, but fans consume little power and would improve comfort.

We found it a comfortable, reasonably prices establishment with good food and friendly, helpful staff.

Room Tip: It is quieter in rooms at the rear, away from Lake St.

Dear Lorraine W

Thank you for your comments. As one of our frequent return guests during August 2014, we are certainly of the opinion the property had met your satisfaction or you would not have made another new booking after each night of accommodation was taken.

As you would have been aware as a frequent customer our reception is open 24 hours and our reception staff would have been more than happy to correct any issue brought to their attention during your stay with us.

We look forward to welcoming you again.

Kind regards

Good location, 10 minute drive from airport. About 20-25 minute walk to the city center/ pier/ Cairns central/ big Woolworths. Grocery shops, Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza all are nearby.
Booked a deluxe, two bedroom apartment for our first visit to Cairns. Spacious, well organised, apartment, full kitchen and washing machine with dryer, fridge/freezer, tea-coffee making facilities, TV with sports channels. Table and chairs. A small garden outside-not exclusive. No dishwasher.
Excellent air conditioning as well as ceiling fans.
Rooms are not sound proof. Noise from above and from side rooms can be disturbing. Did not use in house catering service.
Helpful and polite staff. Spent under £100 per night for accommodation for 4 people. Brilliant.
Overall happy, good value for money.
Would use again.

We booked into this room after looking at a room 110 a few days earlier and were told we should be able to have that room. When we arrived we were given room 114 - it appeared to be a very similar room, but it was at the end of a tiled hallway. To get to reception everyone had to drag their suitcase past our room, this started at about 6.30am and by 7am there were children running up and down the hallway. The room was dark and gloomy and although they weren't dirty, they didn't have that clean feel. The deck was grubby and the view in this room was of the edge of the neighbours garden and a carport. Room 110 would have been quieter because it was not in the main thoroughfare and the view from the balcony was it's own private garden with the lawn in the background.

Room Tip: I felt this accommodation was very overpriced and it would probably be best just to steer clear.

This is our preferred hotel when we stay in Cairns due to the sheer size of the room, the convenience of the Restaurant for Breakfast and it's cleanliness. All this for very reasonable prices, it's getting harder and harder to get a room these days tho, so I think the secrets out!

Room Tip: We always stay in a room by the pool, it's big and spacious and surprisingly not too much noise...

Recently stayed for 5 nights for $600 including continental breakfast for two. Room was exactly as booked. Large, clean, well appointed. Used the restaurant for several nights & found the service excellent. Meals were superb & at $30 or less for a main l thought equal to anywhere in town. A 20 minute walk into town wasn't a problem and did it daily. Nice stroll along the esplanade. I would definitely return to this Motel.
