My wife and I stayed here in a camper. It lies off the main road 7 km from Port Douglas itself, just far enough off the road to avoid any traffic noise. The site is well maintained and the facilities spotless. We were there in the rainy season and they sprayed regularly, which kept the bugs under control. The best things about the site are the swimming pool (which became a social centre as evening arrived) and the shade trees. I know of no other campsite with so many tall trees, giving real protection from the sun.

Balmy days dissolve into tropical evenings. The tropics are a feast for the senses whether we have summer showers or warm sunshine during Winter.
