Situated at Thala Beach Lodge, Osprey restaurant has amazingly stunning views over Yule Point. You can sit on the wooden decking at beautiful wooden slab tables, enjoy a meal & watch the brightly coloured kite surfers performing stunts at Yule Point in the distance.

Yum yum yum yum yum and yum! Stayed at Thala Beach for a few days and had the pleasure of having several dinners here. Service and food were FANTASTIC! Zero complaints...except that they ran out of tiramisu one night (sad face).

Creative menu with delicious choices, and some really great specials.

Make sure to spray on insect repellant before you go - the restaurant is pretty open to the elements and you're in the tropics. Go for a leisurely meal and enjoy the view while you're there.

Stayed at the resort. Had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners in restaurant.
Dinner was very average and overpriced.
Hot buffet breakfast was not hot, eggs were cold. Coffee was Luke warm.
View was the best point, staff are also pleasant

We are disappointed these guests did not enjoy their dining experience and wish they had mentioned these grievances to staff on-hand to rectify at the time of concern. We appreciate their kind comments re our views and team, and hope to welcome them back in the future.

The restaurant has the best view north to Cape Tribulation. Unfortunately, the food looks south to the Sea of Incompetence. My wife's steak was in barely edible and my duck curry, how do I put this, was actually a curry that had never come within sight of a duck. How any self respecting chef can serve this stuff up amazes me. Mediocrity seems to be the established norm in too many places in FNQ.

The problem is always management. If the managers accept these standards then it just continues on. Nothing changes. No one seems to realise that if they get their act together people will spend more $ there and everyone benefits. If we'd had a good experience, my wife & I would have eaten there 4 or 5 times in our 3 week holiday. As it is, I will not only avoid the place I will make a point of telling others. Great business model, guys!
