We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Absolutely amazing. Can not fault the apartment at all! Private spa and BBQ on the rooftop - divine! The pool is amazing (except the number of screaming children around it, not the hotels fault though), the pool bar could do with a little work, the lady behind it was a little surly when asked what food they do (I can re-heat u up a sandwich if you want was her response) - probably expect a little more from a 5 star resort. Most of the reception staff are great, espcially assistant manager Anthony! Our one main complaint is the hotels restaurant, Aqua. We first dined here for lunch. My mother went into order (we were eating by the pool) and 5 mins later the waiter came out and said "what did you order again, fries and garlic bread?" (We had ordered wedges and bruschetta), very sloppy. Food was good though. Our last experience was for a drink for my birthday before we went out. The female waitress seemed inconvenienced that we were just having a drink and told us we couldn't sit here or there and plonked us at an unmade table. We ordered two champagnes and a mai tai. The champagne came out and we were told the mai tai was on its way so we sat and waited. The waitress then came back saying she couldn't make the mai tai as there was no amaretto.... I've never had a mai tai made with amaretto before? we couldn't be bothered correcting her so ordered a third champagne and some bar snacks. 15 mins later a bowl of hot bland miniscule peanuts were dumped on our table. Average, inexperienced waitresses and quite frankly expected more due to the exorbitant prices! Otherwise a very pleasant stay. Be mindful this hotel is a 10 min drive from town but we had a car so enjoyed being a little further out.
