“Wish I was there again!”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

I stayed at Turtle Cove during the week with my partner - just to get away for a quick break. We were in an Ocean Front room and the view of the ocean and sound of the waves was perfect. The rooms were clean and tidy, the beach was beautiful, the staff were all friendly. We had a fantastic stay and loved that Queen B happily recommended things for us to do on an overcast day (amazing lunch at Daintree Tea House)
Being a Sydney Princess, the mattress on the bed was a bit too firm for me, but that would be my only complaint. Everything else was great, and I felt completely happy and at home the entire time.
Can't wait to go back and bronze on the grass in front of my room!

Room Tip: Definitely spend more for Ocean Front Room!

The beach was superb and the seafront room was comfortable. However, the public areas were in need of daily attention in terms of sweeping and general cleanliness. The food was very average and despite other reviews, it s CERTAINLY not 5 star! It could be so much more stylish without losing its natural charm.

thank you for you remarks regarding your stay with us.
We are grateful for every review, good or bad.
it helps us trying harder to make it as perfect as possible.
during your stay our chef (after 2 years great service) had left and
we used agents chefs to fill in until we found the right replacement.
Unfortunately agent chefs are the luck or un luck of the draw.
We now have found an absolute gem and sorry that he was not here yet during your stay.
Regarding the untidy public areas. After more than 4 month of not a drop of rain, the gardens
looking very sad and our mountain water is only dribbling now, hence we are not game to water the gardens. The trees are stressing and shedding leaves and branches constantly.
We try to keep it all tidy, but a breath of wind and we can start all over again.
Naturally we all are hoping that the rain will come soon and then our property will look again, like a little piece of paradise in the rainforest and the warm Barrier Reef waters.
Thank you again for your comments and we are sure that when you return one day, you will be dighted like all other guests are, as per their testimonies in Trip Advisor.
With kindest regards
Bert

This was our 4th time back to Turtle Cove resort and it honestly gets better every time. Even more changes have been made since our last visit and the staff are 100%. We had perfect weather for the whole week and although there are so many things to do and see in the area, this time we spent most of it laying in the sun either on the beach or poolside. If you have never been or visited years ago before any renovations had been made. Do yourself a favour and head back up to FNQ to experience this amazing, secluded resort. The staff are fantastic, the spa is a blast and you can feel extremely welcome and relaxed alone, with a friend or in a group. I can't talk it up enough. Thanks guys again for another great stay, we'll be back again next year for another week in the sun.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms at the front are a must. You look straight out to the beach with your own deck st...

We Arrived to a rather frosty reception, arriving at the end of LEZ FEST so we decided to hold up in our room the first evening, as we realised that the girls still had some partying to do.
The rest of our 8 day stay was beyond believe we had arrived in a little pocket of Paradise with staff that were friendly and interactive.
The food was nothing special but the portion size was humungous.
My partner and I were there to Celebrate our 21st Anniversary and could not have picked a better place.
We will Definately be back and cant wait to make our next booking
We stayed in the Ocean Front Room and with waves crashing on the shore to ease you to sleep at night and unobstructed views of the ocean during the daytime.

Luke and I (Vince) stayed at the resort in September 2013. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. The room was spacious & comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. It was great to have a private beach to walk out onto. The setting is beautiful with an open bar area by the pool with lots of surrounding trees. The meals were really nice. The dining area housed a large table which is a great way to meet lots of different people and new friends. The place has a very relaxing feel about it. It was our first visit at Turtle Cove and certainly not last. We look forward to coming back soon!!

This place is five star to me - it offers everything to make my 8 night holiday fabulous! At the end of Sept / beginning of Oct the weather was brilliant, no rain, warm non-sweaty days, warm nights, the surf was soooo warm, and the pool was warm yet refreshing. This place fits my budget, has great staff who are friendly and striving to give their best - they may not always please everyone but personally I'm in holiday mode, so there's no stress from me! The food is great, the rooms are clean and well serviced, and meeting new people every day is a highlight! If you're wanting a refreshing time within budget, then this is the place to go, however if you're looking for fancy / royal treatment where you might need to pay $500 + a night - maybe you might like to look elsewhere. Whether you're single, partnered or a group, then maybe you could consider this place your 'gay paradise', like I do!

Room Tip: If you want to get out and about, then hire a car as this place is somewhat remote. Personally thou...

We returned to Turtle Cove after six years to find it vibrant, yet wonderfully calm and relaxing. The location is unsurpassed and the extensive beach has the feel of your own private beach.

Our beachfront room was clean and comfortable and has been nicely updated since our previous visit. The food was good and the staff was friendly and efficient. In particular, Ray, Carl, Dan, Marwane and Tony all helped make our stay all the more enjoyable!

We had amazing weather for our 5-night stay (for the price of 4!) at the beginning of October and met some wonderful new friends. This truly is what Turtle Cove is all about!

We certainly hope to be able to return again on our next trip to Australia.
