“Wonderful, Peaceful experience at Coral Sea Villas”
Reviewed 5 August 2011

This is the place to stay in Port Douglas to have it all. Stay in a clean, quiet, spacious apartment in a wonderful setting, then, at your convenence, stroll out the main strip or wander across to the beach. You can't ask for more than what Coral Seas has to offer. Location is fabulous.Absolutely everything is within walking distance. Bruno and Toni take a real and genuine interest in all their guests, ensuring they are well briefed on everything they need to know to make their Port Douglas exactly what they want it to be. We read so many positive reviews before choosing Coral Sea Villas, and now I can verify its all true! I would have no hesitation recommending this accomodation to anyone, and we will definitely be back. Thanks Bruno and Toni.

There was a real family atmosphere about the people providing the service. Our room overlooked the pool but was able to be screened for privacy. It was spacious and comfortable. The central location of the premises was ideal for accessing the beach, shopping & restaurants but away from the busy traffic.
The location was in fact what I liked most, some difficulty in parking a large vehicle was the aspect I liked least.

Room Tip: The room next to the pool was great when the pool was not too crowded.

We had a lovely time here. The units were very well equipped. So close to the beach and shops. We would definitely stay here again. Myself and my husband stayed here with my mother and her husband ( they are in their seventies) and they absolutely loved it.
Toni and Bruno were very helpful.

Coral Sea Villas proved to be an excellent venue for a family holiday. There were 13 of us in our party, comprising eight adults and five children whose ages ranged from one to eight years old. The management thoughtfully provided us with three adjoining units which meant that the children could move about easily, freely and safely. The venue has an ideal location being 100 yards from the beach and in easy walking distance to the main shopping area and restaurants. Being at the beach end of the street means that there is very little traffic. The units offer good outdoor and indoor living. Our family was unanimous in their praise of our choice and would select this place again for a similar holiday.

My mum always said "you get what you pay for". It's with this advice in mind that I review Coral Sea Villas. Now, if you've never stayed in Port Douglas before, there's two things you need to know upfront - EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE! The food, the attractions, the beer and certainly the accommodation. We're talking Sydney prices and beyond. The second thing is that the east-end of Macrossan Street (the beach end) is THE best place to stay.

Knowing these two things from previous vacations in this beautiful part of the world, I was surprised to find a two bedroom apartment in this location for around $250 per night.

On the plus side, the Coral Sea Villas offers basic accommodation in a good location at a good price. Location, however, doesn't means views. Our apartment overlooked the driveway. The kitchen has everything you'll need and there's plenty of air conditioning.

On the down side, the apartments are dark, the hot water systems are very small and the downstairs bedroom is nowhere a bathroom.

People with families might also find the fact that the master bedroom is on a mezzanine slightly annoying. It means that the main living space can become unusable if there's a light sleeper upstairs.

Our hosts, Toni and Bruno, were very accommodating but respected your privacy as well. There's nothing worse than staying in a B&B or apartment and having the owner trying constantly to make a new best friend out of you.

We paid a great rate (for Port Douglas) and we got what we paid for. Anyway, if you visit this beautiful place and spend more than an hour of the day in your apartment, you've completely missed the point!

the appartment was very nice and clean. the rooms are comfortable and we had enough space for us to feel free. the pool is great, surrounded by green. the beach is so close - just 2 minutes walk - so we enjoyed sunrise with our cup of of tea. close to the centre - but enough distance for not beeing in the middle of the busy life.
the hosts, Toni & Bruno give so warm and friendly welcome and help with all requests. we enjoyed our stay from the first minute on.
