Owner description: Palmer Sea Reef Golf Course is located in Port Douglas, Queensland, and is Far North Queensland's premier golfing experience. The course designed by Thompson, Wolveridge and Perrett is Australia's only tropical links style golf course. The 18 hole layout, set between the rolling mountains and the Coral sea, provides both the recreational and professional golfer a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The club house set overlooking the lush tropical rain forest is open for breakfast and lunch daily, and the Sunday Roast is a must. Whether you are looking for a game of golf, or just to relax on the deck for lunch and a drink, then don't miss the Palmer Sea Reef Golf Course.

Very helpful staff. Make sure you check the dress code! We didn't realise we needed collared shirts but the staff helped us out. Also, if you want to eat lunch at the club house ... No "beach attire"!
We saw crocodiles on the course - awesome.

“Best in Port Douglas”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Not much choice really.A good solid forgiving golf course if you stay out of the bunkers and get close to pin with chips.Good condition considering 200 mls of rain the week before.A little pricey but only real choice in PD. Well groomed good test of golf

Absolutely beautiful golf course ever. Loved it . The greens a tad tricky but the course so well kept and the resident crocodiles made a small appearance all very safe though

“Slightly above average, but price is at the top end”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

The course itself was good, we enjoyed playing with friends and had a great time. The price is a bit too high for the quality of course and is positioned as "top course" price. The staff were not very friendly and there is no price benefit in staying at the Sea Temple. This course is now a Palmer course.

“Sea Temple In Port Douglas, Australia Was Awesome!!!”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

This is one of those reviews where no matter what you say, it's not going to be enough!
Yes, this resort is that good. On a scale of 1 to 5, it is a 10 star all day long!
To start, our room was located on one of the arms of the river pool, so you just open your back door, step out into the pool, swim down the river and out to the main pool area and up to the bar where you can sit all day and drink. At night, the main pool area is fire torches everywhere.
Inside of the condo was every bit as nice as any top 5 star resort I've been to and perhaps even nicer in some ways. Our condo came with it's own private garage as well.
What a terrific vacation this was, and it's located very near to the boats that take you out to the reef for diving and sight seeing. The entire Port Douglas area was a great place to visit.
