Before arriving, after reading some reviews which weren't to great on trip advisor I emailed with my concerns as it was months prior to arrival to find out I'f I'd be better off elsewhere as I had such a special trip planned. As I work in hotels I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and see what they said. Well the Director of the resort emailed back which I found very professional and assured me I would live my room! What a lie! Instead he put me in a room backing onto a wall with no view! A horrible balcony, and not a palm tree in sight just dirty bins! Horrible! He put me in the back corner with nothing! Every day I was woken by the housekeepers trolleys and maintenance men walking around outside my room because I was right beside their store rooms and the car park! The breakfast was the worst I've seen! You couldn't move past people to get to the food! You had to share tables with strangers because they only have 5 sets of tables with 6 seats or more, for a couple we wanted to sit together without awequard conversation with people we don't know. One couple were so mad at breakfast complaining that it took half hour to get coffees made, yet you had to pay extra for this as there were no hot drinks included in the breakfast package. The Danishes were cold hard and dry as they were kept in a fridge, not even a slice of ham or cheese for croissants only a block of cheese you had to try and cut slices off while people are pushing past you. We paid for breakfast to be included 7 days and we went twice! Waste of money, 7 nights of looking at a concrete wall with no natural light! The rooms are nothing like the pictures do don't be fooled! The 'director' sent me a picture of the room he allocated me and it didn't even have the same furniture in it! What a lier. I work in hotels and know what service / accomodation / breakfast should be expected from a 4.5 star establishment, and this doesn't come close, it's fun by backpackers with no experience! Easy to fix! Drop your rates and people won't feel ripped off, you shod charge no more that $110 per night for what you offer, not the close to $200 I paid! You are not a 4.5star resort, your a crappy serviced apartments at best which has a nice garden out the front which you use on your site to promote! Useless management, this review could have been avoided!

On arriving staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was a small studio with spa which was ok but could have done with a table inside to eat at and the lighting was poor, especially in the bathroom. It was clean and well kept though. The breakfast servery had great food although could do with revising the layout and would be better with tea and coffee urns being available self help style. A room on the side where the breakfast servery and pool is best as it is quieter and the pool is nicer. It was obvious that some upgrade work was being undertaken which was good to see. The location was excellent as was the spa. With a bit more work it could return to it's former glory

Room Tip: Room on the breakfast servery side

We booked as a group of four families with the understanding that this was a family friendly resort. Within two hours of arriving our children had their first telling off for being too noisy - what did they expect when they accepted a booking with 11 children? Apparantly noise had to be kept to a minimum due to those persons who were using the Spa - they had paid $300 for a treatment - never mind the $10,000-00 our families had paid to be there for a week!!! If you are going there as 1 family it may be ok, but if you are considering going as a group seek alternative accommodation. Also, if you book a room ask for a room at the rear. We stayed in a roadside one (Owen St side) and found it very noisy.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear are quieter and a corner room has a larger deck area

Excellent location, great apartment and fantastic staff gave us a memorable experience. We wanted to relax and wind down and that is exactly what we were able to do. We would unhesitatingly recommend this to any one.

Having booked the room only hours before actually arriving in Port, the staff who greeted us were very friendly and welcoming. After parting in their secure undercover area we were accompanied to our 2nd floor room. The room was a studio style of apartment so for my partner and I it was perfect. We had a small balcony at the back of the unit (which we didn't use anyway) and the bathroom had sliding wooden doors so it could be left quite open. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, however the pool bar looked pretty inviting! Only 2 blocks walk from the main beach and central street too- we walked everywhere easily

All in all, a wonderful nights stay for two. Not sure what the larger sized rooms were like however we would stay there again.

Room Tip: studio apartment was comfortable for two
