My wife and I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment for 10 nights between late April and early May. Having researched trip advisor and a few other booking sights, we found this resort exceeded our expectations when we arrived. The photos we observed from the hotel and other travellers don't do this place justice. The property is very well presented with remote control security gate access, really nice BBQ pool and garden areas and the room was much more spacious, comfortable and modern than we expected from the photos.

The 1 bedroom apartments have spacious lounge dining areas, very good sized balcony and a kitchen well equipped enough that we cooked a few meals there. The rooms have both aircon and ceiling fans. The BBQ area was always clean with basic utensils etc supplied.

The resort is about 5 mins drive into the main town and only a short walk to four mile beach (well worth seeing). The location of the resort is very peaceful and quiet. One negative from some other reviews and from our experience is that this resort does attract some party going visitors who create noise with music and drinking while leaving their doors open and even beer bottles lying outside their room. We were situated two rooms away from such a group so we were just lucky it didn't affect us to much. The adjoining room may not have been so lucky. They do have a gardener come though with a leaf blower most mornings but he never came to early.

Liz and her staff were certainly wonderful. Liz is so friendly and no request was to much for her. She was more than happy to make dinner reservations for you in the main town and was always pleasant on the few times we needed to contact her.

I would definitely go back to this resort if I go to Port Douglas again. It has all that you need to unwind and relax. While you may have to top up a few basic supplies yourself (washing detergent, soap etc), it is close to a few local shops and restaurants and only 5-6 mins drive into the main town where there is a good sized Coles supermarket.

Room Tip: I think the apartments with a kitchen are well worth it. The one's on the upper level give a nic...

We took a family vacation (husband, myself, and our 3.5 year old) to Port Douglas, our first visit there for 7 days during the end of May. The reception closes, if I remember correctly, around 5pm so be sure to have the lock box code in your reservation if you plan to arrive after then. The resort is spacious and the pool area lovely. We visited the pool closest to the reception area and it’s divided into 4 sections and we found one of them slightly warmer than the others.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment/villa so having our own garage was convenient for loading and unloading. But do expect if you’re driving anything bigger than an SUV, it’ll be challenging to get it to fit.

The apartment was spacious and nicely decorated. There are some basic starter supplies but be prepared to bring your own items such as detergent, dishwashing liquid (hand washing and dishwasher), paper towels, salt, pepper, etc. The provided body wash and shampoo/conditioner is small so keep in mind to bring more of your own.

The kitchen was small but we managed just fine. The dining and living area are spacious and comfortable which made it easier stay indoors when it rained heavily all day. The upstairs is carpeted so expect that it’s a bit worn but still clean and so nice to see over the balcony the lush green grounds, quite a relaxing view.

One recommendation would be to provide a picnic blanket with the waterproof siding. Since hiring an umbrella and 2 cushioned beach chair is $40, would have been nice just to have somewhere to lay down our stuff rather than on the damp sand.

The whole unit was clean and it was a good choice for us and an easy drive to the main street and flagged beach area. We didn’t interact much with the owners but when we did they were very pleasant and accommodating.

I also relied on Trip advisor before making by booking and it proved to be a very good initiative!
I travelled solo and wasn't sure of what to expect from the resort or the 1 bedroom apartment I had booked.
The resort conditions are great. Each apartment seem to have a little balcony or terrace with a great view (mine was right in front of the main swimming pool, so I couldn't ask for better). There is enough kitchen equipment for any quick meal. You also have everything you need for breakfast, which means you can enjoy a nice coffee at the terrace while listening to the birds (and noisy fruit bats in the evening :)).
Liz was fantastic. She replied to my emails very quickly and organized the pick up shuttle at the airport. She also gave me great advice for the tours and was always doing her best to ensure I had all I needed even when the reef tour kept being postponed! I think the kindness of the reception staff was truly the highlight of my stay. I have been to a lot of hotels, but this was the first time I felt like the staff really cared about me.

And because nothing is ever perfect, there is just one down side. Port Douglas is quite far away from the resort. Let's say that it is a very nice one hour walk via the beach. Unfortunately, not something you want to do after dinner when it's already late. The shuttle will take you back to the resort for 5 AUD. That's not so bad, but honestly I prefer to be fully independent so the best solution is really to rent a bike and do some exercise :)

I would recommend Paradise Links for anyone interested in relaxing in a great environment. This is not a place for people looking for a good night life or party, but great for families and couples or people like me, looking for some peace and quiet.

As we often do, we rely on trip advisor to assist us with picking our hotels. Paradise Links is another one that we choose that did not disappoint. We stayed 5 nights and are lforward to returning. Originally we had booked a regular hotel room, however in communicating with Liz via email we changed to a 1 bedroom so we would have the kitchen facilities. Speaking of email, they were very quick to respond to any and all questions we had, including before we even booked with them. Paradise Links is made up of individually owned units some of which residents live in, others are managed by Paradise Links while others may be rented via a realtor. Unfortunately while we were there a group of young adults had a very loud and lengthy party. The next morning we went to talk to the staff at reception. They could not have been more apologetic for the situation and granted our request of a room change with no hesitation They were not managing the noisy unit, but went to work immediately ensuring it did not happen again. We believe it was a very random situation because other than that night, we couldn't get over how quiet it was. The units were very clean and the beds comfortable. There was an air conditioner in the bedroom and the living room area both which kept the rooms cool. The bathroom was huge with a closet containing the washer and dryer. The kitchen contained everything you would need to cook with. One of the few small disappointments we did have was the website said full kitchen, however it did not have an oven, only a stove top, dishwasher, convection oven/microwave and full size fridge. I did see a response to another reviewer stating that they are updating the information on the website. It was nothing we couldn't live without but glad we saw it before we went to the grocery store. The only other small disappointment we had, is at other 1 bedrooms we have stayed at there has always been non perishable items left by other guests that we have had to use, such as napkins, paper towels, salt and pepper. Things of that sort would have been nice to have instead of purchasing since you'd never use all of them. They do provide a starter kit of dish wash soap, laundry detergent, coffee and tea and a small thing of milk for tea or coffee. If you would like more of those items they are available to purchase, not sure of the price. There were BBQ grills by each of the pools, with utensils and cleaning supplies along with a refrigerator which contained some condiments that appeared available to use. They have golf clubs and bikes that you could rent. There was a set of golf clubs we noticed the last day that said they were available to use for free at the driving range. There was a nice selection of tour brochures available at the reception area and they were very helpful answering any questions about the local area. I believe there were a few restaurants that you could walk to however not much around. They recommended a few, however we did not visit any of them. 4 mile beach is a very close walk, only about 10 minutes and became our morning routine, we would enjoy sunrise and a walk before heading out for our day. If you are looking for a sunbathing beach you may be disappointed with it because it's more of a walking beach, we did meet a couple that was, so that's why we put this disclaimer in. There was a shuttle that was available to go into town for I believe $5 each way. We did not use it, but saw quite a few people taking it. We only used the main pool which was very nice and open until 9p. There were an assortments of pool noodles available to use. Wifi was available complimentary in the reception area which was just fine for us, and the speed seemed good. Available to purchase in the room, however unsure of the cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return as 4 days was not enough to do all we wanted to in that area. We hope if you choose Paradise Links you are as satisfied as we were

We stayed for 8 nights and had a wonderful time at the resort, the kids loved the pool! The resort is well kept and very clean. Our apartment was very clean and modern, but the kitchen was far too small. The staff and more importantly liz were extremely helpful. When we were looking for a resort and came across paradise links the website and brochures indicated a full kitchen, our kitchen didn't have an oven, grill and a pantry. In my opinion a full kitchen would contain and oven, grill and pantry, this was a real disappointment. Could we have changed, perhaps, but we arrived late on thursday night before good friday so we needed to go shopping that night to have food for the next day. By the time you stock the fridge and unpack let alone worrying about the accommodation, it became too difficult. I also should mention we have a child with a disability. Still, advertising a fully contained kitchen should mean fully contained. All in all we had a great time at the resort, but the kitchen certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.

We arrived at paradise links a day early and they were able to accommodate us no problem, we also asked for a different room as we wanted somewhere a little more private which again was accommodated fully. We were perfectly happy here and our room still had the new carpet smell! Lovely big bathroom with corner bath. The rooms do not have safes in which is a shame as I would expect them as standard in today's world. The rooms are partly adjoining to a second room which appears to be more of a self servicer apartment. Free car parking close to the room which was good. Able to assist with trips and answer any queries, thanks very much!!
