We stayed at Apartment 5 of Deanne and it's fully furnishes, clean and have good location. Communication is easy too. Would love free wi fi at the place but can't complained. Lots of information provided by Deanne on the city and close to main street too. Would definitely recommend APARTMENT 5!

Booked a three bedroom apartment for a family trip to Port Douglas, and was a bit nervous from some of the reviews on here. Very glad to say it was a lovely stay, apartment was good and well stocked, pool lovely and the building is in a fantastic spot close to the beach and surf club as well as the town. The management was a bit absent but I didn't mind that. Great stay, thanks.

We stayed in this facility over the eclipse period recently which was when the prices of hotel rooms & apartments skyrocketed. We felt we were lucky to find accommodation, but....

All of the bathroom fittings were broken - the shower head fell off every time when taking a shower, the handles came off in your hand when touched in both bathrooms. The tiles on the balcony where cracking and many had lifted and were broken - a health and safety risk.

We notified the operators who did nothing about it. Clearly they leave this facility in the same shape and have no intention of fixing it.

The bbq area was used by guests and the rubbish was left for days (3 days) before it was cleaned up. This is touted as a 4 star venue but really is 2 star.

Room Tip: Look for a room toward the back of the complex away from the main road.

We booked a three bedroom in November 2011 for stay in June 2012 for two adults and four children, incl two teenagers, we arrived to find that the bedding configuration was two double beds and a cheap sofa bed in the main bedroom , totally unacceptable when you have booked and paid for a three bedroom unit for 6 people. The phones did not work, hadnt for month, had to ask for the sofa bed to be made up, had to ask for pillows, there was no batteries in torch so when the entire unit block had a black out (no fault of the apartments, power was out in the street) kids were terrified, only four bowls for 6 people, burnt power point outlet. Paint peeling off the ceiling. On a possitive note, the location was great, but the whole place seemed unloved, dated and run down, with a really cold pool. The Managers were very helpful and did what they could to fix things and have stated they will rent it out as a two bedroom until the owners put a real bed in the main bedroom.....too late for us though. Would not stay there again, we were really dissapointed.

The 3 bedroom apartment Garrick Street end, overlooking the pool, was a great place to spend a week. So handy to the beach (short 3 minute walk), and shops/restaurants only 4 minutes walk in the other direction. We parked our vehicle safely onsite for the week, and walked everywhere.
We must make special mention of the wonderful property manager - Heidi - she is worth her weight (which is not terribly considerable) in GOLD!! Always obliging and pleasant, I do hope Latitude 16 appreciates all her work and many talents she brings to the properties under her care.
Very special week spent in Port Douglas.

This is excellent if you are looking for clean, spacious and centrally located accommodation. A holiday where you are not looking to stay in a resort full time but use the apartment/room as a base to explore from and relax in the evening, enjoy a BBQ, glass of good wine and a swim! The apartments are all a little different as some are owned by individuals. Ours was clean, spacious, a little dated (1980's feel!), however, we were not looking to stay in it for our entire hoilday time as we were out exploring during the days and evenings. It was fully equipped - large fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and all utensils (inc BBQ needs). Washer/dryer and enough cleaning "stuff" to last a few days. Friendly, knowledgable and helpful staff (thanks Kim from the Netherlands!!). Air conditioning was a blessing after long days trekking and adventuring - in main room and both bedrooms. Close for walk to beach, Macrossan St (where it all "happens"), and shops etc. Not for those looking for absolute luxury and pampering or modern surrounds.

i stayed at tropical reef port douglas last year for a family vacation in the september holiday, apart from walking in with the oven already on, hot stuffy, the plants were dead on the balcony, mould was growing on the artificial grass, bbqs were still dirty from the last lot of visitors and to find my two teenage girls were going to be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room, with blood on the linen and matress which we later found out while making the beds, not only that but when we angrily called up reception at 8pm on the emeregency number only for them to come 3 hours later while were all ready to go to bed after a day of travelling to our destenation the women came, two young children with her she dumps new sheets at our door and expects us to make the bed, we didnt sleep one blink and in the morning were in a rush to get out of the room as fast as we could.
the apartment block wasnt even full so there was no reason for the cleaning not to be done, no worries though guys i guess you can stay here if luxury isnt what your looking for.
