We booked on the same day (a Saturday) for $179 including free breakfast for 2.
The place is very classy, with beautiful and clean rooms.
The fact that the whole place was built (in 2012) with very good taste but at the edge of minimalistic simplicity makes me think that this place will look very run-down in 5 to 10 years.
We didn't have dinner there, but a cocktail after dinner. There were over a hundred people having a drink at the "Estilo" bar, which makes me think people came from all over Port Douglas. The cocktails were very disappointing, with a $10 Margarita which was thrown together by a young bartender with a beer gut and a dirty white T-shirt, and lasted for all of two sips, after both ice cubes and crushed ice were pressed in.
Breakfast, served at "Bazar" until 10.30 was almost perfect. The presentation is fabulous, the quality of the food is very good, and the amount of different things to choose from is not bad.
Free gym and lap pool to open the appetite for breakfast was a nice bonus.
All in all, I'd go there again, but probably wouldn't pay more than the $180 we spent.
Tip: Make sure you find an offer that includes the FREE BREAKFAST (on Wotif?)More
