We started with cocktails and they were very good and therefore we anticipated a lovely night. The service was friendly and professional. The wine list impressed my husband and he chose a buttery Curly Flat Chardonnay. Things fell apart when our entree arrived. They were some kind of pork dumpling but more resembled a boiled rissole. This was followed by murdered piece of reef fish. You couldn't taste the subtle flavour of the fish as it was downed in poo brown sauce with a contrasting salsa type thing on top. The, I think it was described as a galette, was little short of mashed potato. Oh dear if this is number one in PD goodness help the others!

Without a doubt the most fresh and delicious food we have eaten.
The quality of the food and service is unmatched anywhere in the north. You will want to return again and again.
Salsa has a relaxed atmosphere, with food you would expect to find at a high end restaurant.
The food combinations they create will blow your mind and the presentation is like an artwork.
You can't go to Port Douglas without going to Salsa.
Will will be back!

We really wanted to book a table at Salsa, but throughout the whole duration of our holiday, it was fully booked in the evenings, with the exception of the day we first arrived in PD and walked in.
As this was pretty much the only opportunity we'd get to eat here, we took in and it was a good decision. The food (both had steaks) were delicious and cooked to perfection and the wine menu was great, even for me, who likes a rose.
The service was excellent and our waitress was really helpful with the wine choice.
The interior is like a posh beach hut. It has a fabulous low key laid back but classy vibe - like almost everywhere in Port Douglas. But one of the best things is the view. Grab a cocktail and watch the sun set over the ocean. The food, atmosphere and service are an added bonus!

This restaurant is a head and shoulders above it's peers. The menu, the combinations, the presentation, the quality of the ingredients all are first class.
I'm amazed the chef hasn't been snapped up and transported to a major city.
My partner had a dessert as well she was very pleased with it.

If you are in the area you must go, you should book to ensure your seat.
