Based on the favourable reviews on Trip Advisor I had high expectations of this place and initial signs were positive with smooth, friendly service and a decent looking menu. Having said that, the entrees were on the heavier side - they would be better served with some oysters, salmon carpaccio or similarly light seafood dishes that would suit the climate better. Given that these were not available, I chose a beef carpaccio which was tasty but over seasoned and quite hard to finish due to the massive salt hit. The main (salmon) was an old piece of fish, again over seasoned with a clumsy beurre blanc and a stodgy pancake type affair which was inedible at best. The highlight on the dish was the broccolini, which was perfectly cooked but coated in melted butter. This provided a welcome respite from the rest of the dish. After 2 poor dishes I went down the street for a gelato rather than risking their desserts. Perhaps the chef was away but I would have been better off at the local pub. Nothing worse than dodgy food masquerading as fine dining. The 3 stars are largely for the service and the atmosphere but certainly not the food.
