Haven't been in Port for 16 years. Hooray for Seabean.
Innovative and delicious tapas and were happy to cater to my elderly father who is no foodie.Nothing too much trouble.
Yum. We had
Delicious smoked crocodile crouchettes
Beet root carpaccio smoked salmon capers a
Calamari on sweet potato with pork crackling
A must.
The host has a very interesting wine list...and it survived the cyclone! Definitely try

“Fantastic tapas”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Seabean offers really great tapas, mostly traditional, but some with an Australian edge to them, like the crocodile croquettes… Everyone should be getting the patatas bravas - amazing!
The service was fantastic - friendly and quick! - and the passionfruit mojito was absolutely delicious. If you still have some room left, the churros are a delicious way to finish off this great meal!

“Forget Salsa and head over the road to Seabean for great food and service”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

This place is just awesome and one of Port's best kept secrets. We've been visiting it for years and it just gets better and better. A great place to sit down and enjoy great wine and really good tapas! There's nowhere else like it in town. Firstly, this is truly outstanding value for money. Secondly the food is always fresh, top quality and the wine list is top notch without the tourist town mark ups. Finally, the service here is brilliant. The staff make you feel at home and provide great advice. Don't go past the crocodile croquettes! Finally they'll always do everything they can to get you a table - a far cry from the "oh you don't have a reservation?" catch cry you hear everywhere else. Keep up the outstanding work!

“This place is awesome”

I'm genuinely surprised why this place is rated so low. Food was fresh and lovely, good combo of Spanish tapas and Aussie ingredients. Relaxed atmosphere, great service, friendly people, even better value, what more do you want?
