Beautiful unit in a well maintained block. Well run and managed by Judy and Chris.
The units are spacious, have a great view and are comfortable ,well furnished and serviced.
We did not want to leave teh unit as it was so comfortable and teh view was so good that we just sat and enjoyed it rather than going out.
Our unit was on the 13th level and I would highly recommend it

Stunning location right on the beach. Gorgeous north facing balconies, which provide excellent protection from the prevailing winds. If you can, ask for a beach side apartment when booking - ours had all of the bedrooms facing the street, which was extremely noisy. Drunks and street fighting all night long made for interrupted sleep - even sadly with the windows closed.
Be aware that these are all privately owned apartments, so vary in fit-out and quality. That said, our deluxe apartment was beautifully furnished, apart from the master bedroom. Sadly for this old lady, the funky looking futon style bed and mattress were far too low for getting into and out of, and hard to sleep on. It would have been nice to have a second TV in the master bedroom. Linen was of good quality.
Kitchen equipment was ok, but lacked a few basic items eg a bread knife (ever tried to cut through a cobb loaf without one??). The grater provided was cheap and poor quality, pretty much unusable. Also, we were paying to top rate, and were charged for another roll of toilet paper when this ran out - seems petty to me. Car parking was in the basement, where each apartment has it's own allocated bay. Many of the bays have built in storage cabinets where the owners must store their bread knives... Unfortunately, this compromises the actual car parking space, so be aware of this if you have a large hire car like we did.
Great location with easy walking distance to the main mall and shops.

Room Tip: Ask for beachside apartments (East facing)

Perfect location. Gorgeous views. The beach is out the back door. Is within walking distance of all the sights in Surfers but you don't get the noise from Cavill Avenue. Judy and Chris were very helpful in booking airport transfers, day trips, good restaurants or any activity you are interested in. They are terrific. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with our adult children and were very comfortable. It was roomy, clean and had a great balcony. The kitchen was nice. The barbecue area is right by the pool and very useful. Would stay again without a doubt.

Room Tip: Call and let them know your needs.

I stayed in a one bedroom apartment with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Judy and Chris were so welcoming upon arrival (as per usual). The room was very spacious and the views are to die for. One on the Esplanade is still my number one choice for accommodation on the Gold Coast :)

Stayed here in February for 3 nights as a group of 3 sensible professional middle aged guys making the most of a family free weekend where sleep is as important as a few beers with a couple of mates.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment, 1 double and 2 singles. Overall the room was of a good size and had a good level of kitchenware provided making it easy to use the modern kitchen area.

There are a number of positives to mention. You are literally on the beach. So there is no road for you to worry about if kids are at the age where they have a bit of independence. The apartment block has direct beach access via a keyed gate. In turn, the view is spectacular. From one side of the apartment you have a direct view down Main Beach and beyond and from the 2nd bedroom you have a view along the coast to the south.

The room was clean and comfortable although the pop up footrests on our couches were annoying as they didn’t lock back in place properly! The overall cleanliness of the property was of a high standard with the barbeque area in particular looking very well presented. The pool was well maintained too.

Judy was warm and welcoming on our arrival and generally offered a smile and a chat as we went in and out of the property. We had a couple of things that needed sorting out with the room and Chris did attempt to repair them (some with little success).

However, all 3 of us felt that we were treated with an element of suspicion that we were going to be noisy rowdy troublemakers due to the fact that we didn’t bring the families. The resort certainly gave us the feeling that this is definitely a typically “nice” place where typically “nice” families can have typical “nice” fun. This is not necessarily a bad thing as such but expect to feel like you should be tucked in bed with the lights down early.

A bit of a sour taste was left in the mouth when checking out as everything was relaxed and there was no fuss being shown or time urgent jobs being undertaken by either Chris or Judy. Until that is we asked for an additional 40 minutes in our room to wait for our car to the airport. At this point it all became quite amusing to us. We couldn’t possibly stay in the room as apparently the next guests had already arrived for the room and it needed to be cleaned immediately. Now whilst this may be true it did come across as a little bit over the top. We were offered bag storage in an unsecure area and we could sit by the pool. So we did as people glared at us for taking up chairs by the pool whilst dressed for air travel! All seemed a little petty to be honest.

Would I come back to One the Esplanade? As a small group looking to have some sensible fun maybe not. With the family. Yes for the accommodation... but as to Surfers my caveat here and certainly not something that One can control (and I have not included this in my evaluation of One) is that I have been to Surfers quite a few times now and every time it has gradually become a less family friendly place to be. The “kids” are getting drunk earlier in the day and are becoming gradually more intimidating; later in the evening the place just feels like it is a tinderbox waiting for the spark which ignites the fire. There are better areas not too far away... Or am I just getting older ...

Wonderful hotel and great location. Chris and Judy are both wonderful... Thankyou. Apartment was huge and newly refurbished. Great views. Right on beach and quick walk to supermarket and shops. If your looking for a self catering holiday this is the place for you. Free onsight parking. Pool gets most of the days sun- only in the late afternoon does the sun go behind buildings. Patrolled beach is on the otherside of the fence. Great bbq area. Only downside was suprised only one towel per guest, but extra towel was only $2.
