A friend and I stayed in a twin bed executive room in March. The room was very small but the view was pretty good. The service from all the staff we encountered was truly fantastic. Get in early to get yourself a good seat by the pool - the pool bar staff are wonderful and their cocktails delicious! If you have the option, upgrade to the executive floors as the access to the executive lounge is well and truly worth the extra $$$. We ate breakfast and dinner here (plenty of food and drinks and no charge) and the free drinks each night with a great view was fabulous! Overall, Im not a fan of Surfers Paradise but the Hilton is so well set up that you dont even have to leave the resort grounds. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: The higher up the better - better views and less noise from below

From the time we stepped out of the taxi to the time we stepped back into the taxi we were so well looked after by the Hilton staff. They were very friendly and eager to help, meeting our requests and suggesting how we might be even more comfortable. Our room had amazing floor to ceiling views over the ocean, it was modern and tastefully decorated. In fact, it still smelt new. Although we didnt eat at the restaurants they looked very trendy. Our taxi driver said that the word on the street is that the Fix Bar at the Hilton is the place to be but unfortunately we didnt get there either.

Room Tip: The seaview rooms are stunning.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a two bedroom oceanview apartment on the 17th floor upon check-in (this could be due to it being our honeymoon). We were also delighted when we entered our room to find chocolate dipped strawberries and an ice bucket with bubbly waiting for us at no additional charge. The apartment is spacious and has premium amenities. We had an amazing view out over Surfers Paradise beach and had breakfast every morning on our balcony so we could thoroughly enjoy this.
We spent 6 nights here and can only find two (relatively minor) faults. The first fault was that the two outside pools are not heated at all, in fact they felt ice cold which when combined with the gusty winds coming off the ocean, makes for a less than pleasant swimming experience. This is made up for by a heated indoor pool, luxury poolside furniture (and plenty of it!) and a well stocked poolside bar.
The next fault is, as many other reviewers have stated, is the noise. There were no problems what so ever from Mon-Thur, however on Friday and Saturday nights it was very annoying to have the music pumping all hours of the morning. This combined with our disgustingly loud neighbours (whom must have been staying just to go out and party) made for some tough sleeping on those nights. The other guests and the neighbouring bars are probably out of The Hilton's control but it is something to be wary of if you plan to stay on the weekends.
With all of that being said, we would happily return to this hotel any time we visit Surfers/Gold Coast and have no problem giving them five out of five for the service, rooms, amenities and facilities.

Room Tip: Request a high level and an ocean view. The Residences are fully equipped apartments.

Dear Sam H,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent Honeymoon stay with us.

I am really happy to hear that on such a special occasion you found the accommodation, service, amenities and facilities in general to your liking.

In relation to your comments regarding the noise it can at times be an issue and I apologise that on this occasion it affected your sleep, please be assured that we continue to work with local authorities to monitor this, unfortunately it is as you mentioned out of our control but I do hope that you found the hotel other than this a relaxing and Welcoming place to stay.

I really appreciate your feedback on our outdoor pool facilities and how we can perhaps provide a more comfortable temperature for our guest wishing to use the outdoor pools; it is great that you found the indoor heated pool a welcome alternative.

Thank you again for your great feedback, it is fantastic that you had such a memorable and enjoyable honeymoon and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind Regards,

My husband and i stayed there for 4 nights last week for our anniversary. I had pre ordered chocolate and strawberries before our arrival and they were in our room when we first walked in, which was fantastic. I also organised an anniversary cake for the next day and they made a delicious mud cake for us. The hotel room was fantastic, new, modern and very well appointed. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view at the hotel part and would highly recommend it. Location is great to as it is right off Cavill ave, so very easy to get around from there.

Room Tip: Try and get a higher level room.

We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment with ocean view- brilliant! Everything you need in a very well set out unit. Staff were all brilliant. Minor hiccup in the microwave not being clean. Get in early if you want to order from the pillow menu.... The claim was ' a pillow for everyone' when I requested a specific pillow, was informed there weren't any left. Perhaps they should have more of the popular ones available.
