Have been coming to the Goldy since the early 80s when this place was called Grundys. If you have kids you have to take them to Time Zone.
Allow about 3 hours and $100 and your kids will have a blast (and if your like me) you will too.
The shopping downstairs is very good also with lots of options for food, coffee and refreshments. Just park underneath. Could not be an easier or more enioyable day in surfers.

This shopping center in the heart of Surfers Paradise, is a good reference point for vacationers. Here you can find everything you need from cafes to many clothing stores, also has a huge supermarket which has a car park.
Easily accessible entrances, from the seaside, from the main entrance side hard rock cafe and through the central Cavil Avenue.
This mall it is open 7 days a week, the supermarket until 10 p.m. but the closing shops time is around 5 p.m.

The anchor tenant is a Woolworths supermarket, and there's a variety of supporting tenants providing basic needs- it's a convenient place to shop if this is what you want.

In addition, there are several specialty interest amusements , including a Timezone amusement arcade and an indoor shooting range.

The center was built in 1979, and it does have a tired look in places.

Essentially, it's a center to visit for a particular purpose, rather than for window shopping.

It's facade needs an upgrade work. Have been to better & bigger shopping centres than this. Could get some cheap items if it's on sales season or on offers. Crowded with schoolies when I was there.
