This hotel is lovely, while it has aged alot over the last couple of years the service is outstanding.
We were greeted at reception by a lovely lady who was well dressed; she started by gathering my details & always referred to me as Maam or Ms- at my age of 21 it isn't often that you are spoken to as a respectable woman.
We made our way to our room which was located on level 23.
Our mountain view room was quite large with 2 double beds & an amazing bathroom which had double doors at the entrance- the bath was a big hit for me!
The pool area is great for families, couple & singles.
There is a great bar & the lagoon has tropical fish in the pool with pool toys & snorkel gear available for hire. Kids can also enjoy the pool slide while the adults soak in the many spas.

Worth going for the pool alone. It is a lagoon with waterslide, fish and man-made beach which was great for the kids. The kids also had a great time in the kids-club. The loaction is a 10 minute stroll to the hub of Surfers. Buffet breakfast was $35pp but was worth every cent!

!5 mins after we checked out of this Hotel my daughter realised that she had left her gold Pandora bracelet ( value $ 8000.00) sitting on the bed..she rang the hotel straight away and was told that someone would retrive the bracelet and ring her..after two hours she rang back and was spoken to rudely by the same girl who stated that they didnt have time to check the room as the police were there that morning on another matter..she then transferred my daughter through to securety who knew nothing about the incident, they stated that they would check the room and ring straight back...again she waited a number of hours and rang back only to be told that the bracelet was not in the room...for the next few days my daughter was fobbed off and no one wanted to take responsibility..any attempt by my daughter and myself to speak to someone with any authority was blocked...it appears that the GM is in one continious meeting...the treatment of my daughter over this matter has been shoddy and to date no one from the Hotel has contacted her with an explaination or apology.
We can only advise that any thing of value not be left unattended as there are dishonest staff at this Hotel.

Just returned from a 5 night stay. The last time I stayed here was about 15 years ago and the hotel is starting to look a little tired. Couple of issues with our bathroom ("cold" sticker missing from tap, plug had been burned and looked terrible, toilet lid had been replaced and didn't fit properly, shower head was not powerful enough). Bed was very comfy and wardrobe was a good space. Even though we were on the 19th floor, we could hear traffic noise from the Gold Coast highway.

The big plus is the lagoon pool - very kid friendly. My son loved it - especially the water slide, water rapids and swimming, feeding the fish. We hired a motorised scooter for him to swim in the lagoon and he loved it. Lots of kids there to play with - boys own adventure.

Hotel food was OK - breakfast buffet disappointing but they obviously have to feed a lot of people at the one time. We had lunch at the restaurant one day - I must say $18 for 3 pieces of calamari, small serve chips and salad is a bit steep.

All my friends with kids love this property - I prefer the space that an apartment offers personally but admit that the resort is fabulous for kids.

We got a great deal stay 4 pay 3 with room credits etc. When we arrived we decided to upgrade to a junior suite given that rain was forecast we thought the extra space would be a good idea. The room was lovely, the staff are incredibly helpful, housekeeping ladies were wonderful. We ate all meals at the hotel and each one was fantastic, you have to go to the teppanyaki, it was so much fun and the kids loved it, it is a bit pricey but was great. My gripes were that in our Junior Suite we had two double beds, you would think a suite would house at least one king bed? Also the beds and pillows weren't that great. The iron in our room had a frayed cord which isn't great and there was quite a loud hum, presumably from the plant room, which sounded like a hovering plane, all night. The kids loved the pool area and it was lovely to swim at. There arent that many fish in there, and disappointingly the pool bar was only open for one of the days we were there (due to rain) even though there were still a few families out swimming. Also a bit annoying is that you can only enter the hotel car park/driveway from one direction which means you have to circle the block to get back, but i am being picky now. Overall it was a great place to holiday with kids if you are happy in a high rise, food was great and our two ate free at the buffets so it was good value for us.

I found Marriott to be out-dated and over-rated. I believe they are going to be doing a refurb, which is definatley needed. The rooms were of a good size, beds comfy but everything in general just a little tired. Buffet is over priced and nothing special. The lagoon pool area is fantastic and can see why it is such a hit with families.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks visiting family members in Queensland and spent the last 4 days at this beautiful hotel. We had nothing but praise for the staff, both in reception on our arrival to the restaurant where we were given the utmost attention and fantastic service including top quality food. Our room was on 22nd floor with breathtaking ocean views and the furnishings, linen, bed and beautiful bathroom was luxury plus. Breakfast menu was extensive and nothing was ever any bother to the staff. Would definitely stay here again.
