Close walking distant to Cavil Ave, eating, shopping. Not too far to Theme parks. Kids totally loved it which meant we did too. Staff the friendliest I experienced in Queensland. Kids club was fantastic as the kids loved being entertained when they were not swimming. Before you leave must try the Toblerone cocktail!!!!! Yummy!!!!!

We stayed with 2 small children (4 & 2yrs for one night) & I have to say we were a little nervous about going after reading a few bad reviews. I can now assure you that this is a great resort for families with young children. We had a blast. We were greeted at the large modern reception area by extremely friendly staff & allowed into our room early. We were even given a room upgrade to a king room which we thank you very much for. Our king room was perfectly adequate, clean & basic. Our $130 package (pool view) included 1 free session of Zone 4 kids for our 2 children. We chose to do the evening session. I was very apprehensive about leaving our little ones with strangers at first & concerned with the safety aspect etc. Now that we have used the club I cannot speak more highly of it. Others have whinged on this site about it being stuck in the basement, smelly etc. That’s a bit far fetched & conjures up awful visions. It’s in the lower floor area with wide cream tiled stairs leading down to a large foyer (one from the pool/restaurant area & one from the hotel) & a lift (I think). There are amenities down there as well for the pool patrons to use & baby change area. It’s light & bright. The older children’s room is darker & is an old nightclub which has been transformed & a staff member informed me that they intend doing even more additions to the club. There are several rooms & large doors which also lead out to a fuel pump station & peddle cars. All secured with a double exit door & pool gated front entry, entry desk & front doors which they close during sessions. All children have to be signed in & out by the same person. The 0-2yrs are in a room across the hallway with their own little outdoor/indoor play area & very caring minders. The older children get placed in age appropriate groups & for the evening session I went in with my little one & made sure he ate his meal & got settled before leaving. Book early as it gets packed out at night when the hotel is busy. Then they must have done some craft & watched a movie. The day time sessions would (I’m assuming) allow for more play activities & craft. Not sure as I wasn’t there. I can say they both loved it & went back for the free half hour session the next morning & a play. There is also a wonderful adventure playground area on site with a beach themed floor (to the side of the building). We ate dinner at GD’S Express (large elevated modern area overlooking the pool) & played bingo which was great fun (also had a couple of quiet drinks!). The place was full & buzzing. Our vegetarian pizza ($14.50) was one of the best pizza’s I have tasted to date. I think the resort should do more recent pictures on their website, as I think the pool area/restaurants etc. looked better in real life. Sure the place is a little tired & in need of a touch up & paint but the shop, restaurants, bar, reception areas are all really modern & clean. We were pleasantly surprised. The gardens were beautifully kept. Balcony facades need a touch of paint. 4 great pools & a splash of paint/tiles required to them & hey presto . I can’t speak for other rooms as we had a king, but if you go there with the mind set of having a basic room (knowing it’s a kids resort) & not expecting anything too flash then you’re sure to have an excellent time. If you’re the type of person who’s extremely fussy then go somewhere else. For example one women arrived for dinner with 4 kids in toe needing a table. The cafe happened to be full just at that moment. She was very disgruntled & stormed off. If she had come back 5 minutes later, she would have discovered 2 spare tables. So one can’t please everybody (there were also lots more than 9 deck chairs – as per another writer’s gripe!). If you’re easy going & laid back, can see past perfect, then you’ll have a very good time. It was better than expected. Thank you, we’ll be back (Some pictures attached).

We stayed at the Paradise Resort in 8th October for 2 nights. I got the room on Wotif for $125 which included 2 session a day in the kids club for 2 children. I soon as we booked in which was about noon, the room was ready. We used the computer system to book the kids into the kids club which was easy and very handy to use. The kids had a ball at the kids club, they went to the afternoon sessions and the evening sessions. Being a Saturday night there were about 150 kids booked in but there were plenty of supervision available. We had both lunch and dinner at the pool side cafe, the prices were good and the food great. The kids meals were large, there pizza's were great and priced even better. On the last night we ate in the resturant which was great it included all you can eat salad and pasta which on its own would have been enough. The weather rained the entire time we were there but because the resort had every thing you needed it did not make a difference. the only bad thing I can say is that the bar service was very slow. And please note it is a resort for families with kids so do expect the noise that they make

Wow what a great holiday we had, enhanced greatly by our experience at the Paradise Resort. From the magnificent service to the exceptional resort features, to the divine food, every aspect of the resort was great. Each night before bed my kids said " wow dad we had the best day of our lives". We were there for 8 nights :).
The resort staff were fantastic. On a couple of occasions i asked for directions, the reception crew not only gave me directions, they dragged out a map, and with pen in hand drew me the best way to take, very helpful. The resort cleaners were always friendly and smiley, which enhanced even more the great friendly feel of the resort, and our room was always cleaned to the highest standard. The extra activities and entertainment were top notch and organised well, my kids couldnt wait to get home from the theme park each time to join in the fun.
I was anxious about not been able to cook in the room, but those anxieties abated the first night after dining in the restauraunt. What a great meal, top quality, and cheap, $8 for all you can eat for the kids, couldn't beat that anywhere. what a great way to finish the day with a beautiful meal in a great restauraunt, with very friendly staff that once again couldnt do enough for us.
We've had many trips to the Gold Coast, but this one was by far the best and most enjoyable, and next year we'll definately be staying at the Paradise Resort again

The room we stayed in was clean and tidy. But the highlight was having the facility built around the pool, the kids could swim while we relaxed either on the balcony of the restraunt or beside the pool, they had activities and competitions around the pool and lots of things for the kids to do. The Kids club was great we got to drop our 2 children children off and go out for tea with my husband it was nice to have time just for us also. This is a great place for families to holiday...

Stayed with 2 young kids aged 2 and 5. Couldn't fault the hotel's kids facilities - kids clubs were a major hit with our young ones. We had a great time. Relaxation for Mom and Dad plus fun time with the kids. Having had all the activity during the day and great black out blinds in our room our kids slept til 8am every day (unheard of!) Resort is well located, close to shops (Coles 10 min walk away). Fantastic family friendly hotel La Rustica in Surfers Paraise, would highly recommend. Seaworld was also a big hit - get your tickets at the resort before heading to the theme park, save queuing. Public transport is perfect, just 3/4 min walk from the Resort. Only slightly negative feedback would be lack of adult only pool area while the kids are relaxing. But all in all a fantastic family venue - but don't go unless you have children.
