We had 3 days at the Watermark on a "Lazy Beach Retreat". It was real value for money,with a sumptuous buffet breakfast included in the price, bottle of wine on arrival and late checkout.
We have stayed there a number of times before and always found it to be extremely comfortable. Staff are very friendly and it is central to all activities.
Very clean, great views of the ocean or rivers, whichever room you have. Very comfortable beds! I was a little saddened that such an expensive hotel does not cater for people with celiac or gluten intolerance, when I went to order room service they were a little limited as to what I could have, in saying that the jan on the phone did offer a sandwich on gluten free bread. However, how hard is it to make gf nachos!
Guess just picky as I have stayed in horels in 3rd world countries and had much more variety to choose from.

However, we apologise if you weren’t offered any gluten free options, we do cater for celiacs and provide gluten free options on the menu. This is our second visit to the Watermark at the Gold Coast. We booked a package for one night in one of the upper Premier floors. Valet parking, a bottle of Chandon on arrival, cooked breakfast for two and canapés and drinks in the evening and midday check out were all included for less than $300.
The Executive Lounge is peaceful and relaxing. All the complimentary drinks and food both in the evening and for breakfast were fresh and delicious with very friendly, personalised and genuinely interested service. It is definitely worth paying a little extra to have this package.
The Watermark has the sort of service standards that all 5 star hotels should have - but often do not. It is quite clear that the staff are pleased and proud to work there. This is a great achievement and it deserves to be rewarded with repeat customers.
We highly recommend a night or three at the Watermark. We dined at the hotel at the Amalfi for dinner - also delightful. Moderately priced, friendly and helpful service, delicious food and a lovely chocolate martini ("choctini") cocktail! Dine outside if you can - it is very pleasant under the marquee arrangement.
The Watermark has an elegant, friendly, relaxed yet stylish feel about it. We had a lovely time. We will be back again definitely.

We have come to expect very little from hotel service in Australia but this hotel was an exception. Every staff member from valet parking through to the restaurant and spa was polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms were on the small/average size but well set up and clean. Two pools - east and west mean you can be in sun or shade all day. The restaurant and wine bar is great and the spa is sensational! Central location but very quiet rooms. Would stay again and would also make a great girls weekend away.

I unexpectedly stayed here for 4 nights after my usual Gold Coast venue booking was messed up and they then wanted to charge me close to 3 times the usual rate (shame Mr Meriton) . I stayed on 11th floor with great hinterland views. Only issue was a charge for parking in a too small car park which was overbooked. I needed 24 emergency access to my car so the staff were very solution focused and came up with a satisfactory solution and didn't charge me. Central location for Surfers attractions

Good afternoon, I was wondering around at the watermark this week, and I was trying to find out all the activities. I was lost but Thomas from Food and Beverage kindly offered his services and explained what was on offer and showed me to the day spa. Thank you so much my expectation for this hotel has been proven right. great hotel and great staff. Highly recommended.
