“Hotel for animals!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2013

The most disgusting, horrible, worst experience of my life!
Walk into the room and thought i walked into a junk yard the mould and stains on the carpet, the smell of the room went straight up my nose, the mould and black stains all over the roof, the dirt on the curtains, the mould growing on the door handles, yellow stains all over the cutlery, cockery never cleaned, crumbs and stains all in the fridge and the list goes on and on!
I was lied to i got told disgusting silverton was located in the heart of surface where i can walk down to the shops and infront of the beach.
It is actually a 10 minute drive to surface and actually infront of a dirty river!
stayed on the phone with the manager for an 1hr complaining and in fear of my daughters health and all the rude human had to say was
"if you don't like it leave"
7th floor dosen't even have fly screens on the door if my daughter crawled out it would be dangerous!
Cobwebs have been there for years they were actually stuck onto the walls!
35 degree heat in the rooms and the windows dont even open!

I would rather sleep on the foot path and not step a toe into sliverton ever again!
DISGUSTING!

We had a very spacious apartment, water views, 2 flat screen tvs with foxtel, leather lounge and chair, new kitchen, large bathroom, walk in wardrobe, 2 air con units etc..
maybe it depends what room you get but ours was great.. will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: ask for a room that faces the water, not the highway!

My partner and I weren't able to arrive till late at night and I wish we had seen this room earlier so we could check out right then and there. The room was old, dusty, out dated, there were stains on the carpet and marks all over the walls. The shower was mouldy that I almost felt obliged to wear my sandals in the shower. The light fixtures had no covers. The fans were running when we arrived and the sliding door was open with the flyscreen closed. This would of been okay except for the fact the fly screen had a massive rip through it and it was raining heavily. There was white dust and grime over the windows, it's almost like they haven't been cleaned in years! A cigarette butt had been left in the ashtray outside, the green flooring was ripped and the chairs also had holes in them. None of the lounges matched and one of them was even sunken in with stains. No air conditioning as stated in the description. Tv was a tiny square box. There were so many disgusting, foul things about this place. We checked out the next morning and went and stayed at a much nicer place. Can't believe they get away with running such a place! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Booked and paid for in advanced based on their website photo's and the fact we were staying in peak season, what a joke!!! The pictures are misleading. Let's start with the carpark full of old dusty cars which have been abandoned, deflated tyres etc. Next we got upstiars to the room which was filfthy and outdated. There was mould in the showers, a powerpoint coming off the walls, dishwasher didn't work, rubbish such as picture frames and old microwaves stored in the cupbards and that was just the start. Called the operator service who spoke to the manager on my behalf (for some unknown reason I wasn't allowed to have the manager's name) for a replacement room or a full refund. I was informed there were no replacement rooms available, peak season, and refunds were only available it was 72 hrs beforehand. Now I don't know about most people, but I generally don't ask to see a room I'm staying in 72hrs beforehand, to make sure it meets health and safety regulations, or is anything remotly similar to what's advertised on the website, I guess I'm funny like that. We refused to stay there for even a night we went through the stress of doing the last minute ringaround and find somewhere else to stay for the remainder of our trip. Extremly disappointed. Everybody beware.

Room Tip: Rooms that look like the pictures on the website might be nice but don't hold your breath trying...

I may have jumped the gun with my previous review in saying I'd stay here again. I will definitely not be staying here again. After spending more time in the apartment more unacceptable and just plain shabby things have come to our attention. Our twin room has no ceiling fan, a window which opens onto the passing motorway and in the corner they have left us the dirtiest/dustiest, oldest fan I have ever seen. It is held together by a random piece of cardboard to stop the fan head flopping over, the pole attachments are loose so you can't even make it taller. To add to the fun on this humid evening; the only Power outlet in this room is situated directly behind one of the beds in the corner with no lead. What the hell? I may have to sleep in the lounge under the only air con available.
The entire apartment has an unclean feeling with light switches and carpeting feeling oily. The grouting in the shower is what nightmares are made of and I'm opting to use the bath during my stay here. I don't really want to touch or use anything as its just dirty and overused. This place needs a serious make over if its going to continue to charge people. Even without a make over, a bloody good scrub down would already make a 100% improvement.

We booked the two bedroom apartment on the 15th floor. The building and decor inside is dated, the walls in the apartment are scuffed and in need of a fresh coat of paint. Dated decor and furnishings throughout with lovely burnt orange 1970's lampshades in the rooms and faux grass on the balcony. Carpets stained. No ceiling fan in twin room.

Great views however and very handy location. Swimming pool and tennis courts on site which is always handy.

I would probably stay here again.
