My partner and I stayed for 2 nights in early January for a relaxing break and this hotel was comfortable. We were in the Gold Tower and specifically requested this knowing it was newer than the original tower. We opted for the one bedroom spa apartment which boasted two balconies and a sizeable living/dining area.
Unfortunately the room was bordering on the side of 80's porn-film set with lots of wooden panelling and the green marble bathroom but it was clean and comfortable so I can't complain.
The first night we chose the seafood indulgence package and ate at the Four Winds revolving restaurant. This was nice enough, although one visit was enough and I wouldn't return.
The location of this hotel was quite awkward being a 15 minute walk to Cavill and a 15-20 minute walk to Broadbeach. The front counter service was very good and the breakfast was also very good.
In hindsight I wouldn't choose this hotel again. For the price range I would rather stay at the Watermark or Q1 which offers considerably more modern rooms and decor and a more convenient location.More
