Beach front apartment, convenient location to shops and restaurants and super markets. Overall, good value.

Pitfalls: aging building, slow lifts, no enough parking space; staffs unwilling to giving advice on travel or places to go, going back and forth a few times to resolve the limited free wifi service.

Room Tip: avoid lower floors as beach gets crowded in early hours you wont get proper sleep

The service was really, really bad. Unpolite, even rude staff, don't expect a smile here. The queen bed was alright but the sofa bed was the worst bed I have slept in Australia. If you are going to stay here you are going to pay a high price for a low price accomendation.

After about 6 overnight stays here with my 2 teen daughters in the past couple of years , it's the hotel I always return to. Why? Because I know what I get at the chateau , I can't get anywhere else at surfers for the same reasonable price. Location , space, kitchen facilities, ocean views, free parking, free Wifi , facilities.

Great location love the new spa baths and pool area. Walk to everything. BBQ area meant we had good family meals and had money to spend on other luxuries. Will be back again hopefully a bit longer. May not be newest location but had everything we needed for what we paid with awesome and calming ocean view

We (2A, 2C ~ 8yo girls) stayed in a studio room, L14 overlooking pool + beach. Pool, spa's and grounds all tidy and were cleaned every morning. Studio was divided into 2 with 2A in bed on 1 side of a built in wardrobe and the 2C in fold out lounge on other side with kitchen/dining. Plenty of room for us. We walked at best 500m in any direction to shops, entertainment and restaurants and that covered the Surfers CBD, perfect for kids attention. We only took the car to the theme parks. You'll be on the lifeguard controlled beach about 60 steps from the reception. There's a bar and restaurant adjoining the hotel, BWS (you can down some cold ones in the pool/spa) and small grocery shop across the street. There is a super breakfast cafe across the traffic lights. Staff were helpful/nice. We booked for 6 ngts and ended staying for 10. Negs - there seem to be more rooms than car parks (we got the last park on several occasions) and 7 days between clean towels seems a bit long.

Just got back from 3 nights in Chateau Beachside in Surfers Paradise. Was a great resort, couldn't fault it at all. Had a beach side room, stayed on 12th floor. Very clean, amazing views, spacious, comfortable beds, very close to shops, restaurants etc. and had a host of amenities. Fabulous pool and an assortment of spas to choose from. We loved it and would definitely go back.
