Stayed at the hostel and had a private flat with 2 double rooms in and a shared bathroom. Nice flat with communal lounge with TV. Staff were very friendly and have a tour desk to help book trips. Would highly recommend the trip to Dreamworld & Whitewater World - really fun day out and the bus to them is at the end of the road right by the hostel. Only down side is that they have a bar area that is BYO - they dont actually serve drinks which means you go to the bottle shop and buy something and then drink in that area. Personal preference I guess that we prefer to buy drinks at a bar. Nice pool and good shuttle to the coach station.

Lovely little hostel, just away from the main strip but minutes from the beach. Loads of character and lovely, friendly, fun staff. Great tv room with big comfy bean bags which is great for the free wifi for hostelworld guests. They do like to get you to party with them, and its pretty much all the evening involves but they don't bug you too much if you are just wanting to chill. As it is small, you can hear other guests, so if you are a light sleeper it may not be for you. Overall, for the price in such an expensive place, its ideal. Especially if you book through hostelworld because you get free wifi or pc use if you have no laptop, and free laundry!

Room Tip: Rooms near the gate are noisy at night when people are coming back from the bars.

Great place within a few minutes walk to bus stop that can bring you around Gold Coast. Nice stuff that help us a lot on how to go to certain place. Private bathrooms are available in each room. Recommended to everyone!

2 minute walk from the beach, 5 min walk into town. Spent 4 nights here and loved it, staff were very friendly and made it feel like home. Would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Surfers Paradise.

Surf N Sun is everything a backpacker could want! I had a six bed dorm that looked on to the beach, i had a TV in my room with good movies playing all the time. If i wanted to go we got free entry to clubs with the hostel, or if i wanted to chill out they had big comfy bean bags to laze about on! great staff too, very friendly and helpful with advice on things to do in the area. my room was cleaned everyday- really enjoyed this backpackers, best one i've stayed in up the coast :)
