“Quiet, well situated and good value accommodation”
Reviewed 23 January 2011

Service: very good and the staff were friendly. We had a problem with a door knob and, after reporting it the night before, it was fixed the next day.

Apartment: We got a corner room on the top floor. You may need to be aware that there is no lift so, if you have problems with stairs, you may wish to ask for a ground floor room.
The apartment was clean and had a kitchen with a two basin sink and dish washing machine.
The bathroom had a walk in shower (which we prefer) and a washing machine and dryer.
The TV in the lounge room was an LCD about 22" hooked up to Foxtel/Austar. The main couch was one of those cane/bamboo deals which wasn't terribly comfortable but still usable.
The bedroom got a lot of sunlight in the morning (facing east) but the curtains were very good at blocking the sunlight out. The queen mattress was, unfortunately, tired and it took a fair deal of moving to avoid springs digging in to hips etc.

Environment: It sounds like setting oneself up for disappointment when staying on the Gold Coast over Christmas and New Year's *and* expecting quiet. But, we got it! This was due to the strict no-noise policy which they had. Top marks on this as it was actually enforced.

Location: Pretty much in the heart of Chevron Island you are not far from the patrolled beaches (20-30 minutes stroll), shops (10-15 minute stroll to Cavill Ave and only a few minutes round the corner to local shops and Cellarbrations), theme parks (20-30 minute drive). The 'stroll' times are considering high 20s, humid weather. If it's cooler or humidity doesn't bother you, it's quicker. Driving to the beach can take longer, because of parking, unless you shell out for one of the nearby all day parking places ($10-16) - recommended only if you use your car as a 'base' throughout an entire day and carry only what you need in between.

The swimming pool was heated though we suspect the heating may have been either turned off or overloaded at some points due to the rain. There was also a jacuzzi/spa attached to the pool with jets which was definitely heated and remained so even throughout the rain.

Parking is a secure underground garage with your spot marked by your unit number.

Recommended if you need reasonably priced accommodation close enough to the action to be convenient but far enough to be quiet.

I love the serenity of this venue away from the hustle and bustle of Surfers proper, but only a few minutes walk to that environment when you have had enough of the relaxing by the pool or a few drinks by the BBQ.
I also like the fact that it is quiet and no loud partying people are tolerated and the security is excellent.
I also like the people who run it, they are friendly and welcoming.
In short, I love the place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was travelling with two children, both aged 10 therefore cleanliness is very important to me. PI is clean and have a very relaxing warm jaccuzzi whic was much needed after walking around theme parks or shopping the whole day. A big thank you to a team of wonderful and helpful staff like Mr Helpful and Hardworking Kevin and my human road dictionary Di who gave perfect road instructions!! The only inconvenience is that the hotel does not have a lift. I have 3 big luggages as we were staying for more than two weeks so it was quite a struggle for me. However the hotel accommodated my request for a ground floor unit so I only need to lugged them up one flight of steps. Of course Our dear Kevin did offered to help us but we managed. Thanks Kev ;-). Another thing is the pull out sofa bed is too soft for adults but perfect for children due to the weight difference but the mattress in the room is fine. Clean kitchen with full set of cutlery, microwave, oven, kettle, toaster and the bathroom have user friendly washing machine, dryer and hair dryer. Very well equipped. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED!!

We enjoyed our trip and were glad to pick this hotel. It is very good value and of a high standard in terms of tidiness, facilities available, comfort and location (close to Surfers Paradise shops yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful). The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
