Our stay was booked through Classic Escapes. although the hotel did not live up to the five star rating Classic Escapes gives it, yet another broken promise by them, we had a very pleasant stay. The staff at the hotel are some of the best we have ever dealt with here in Australia and around the world. They were pleasant, polite, helpful and caring. Outdoor spa was way too cool. I would book here again!

The hotel is only 10 minutes walk to Cavill Avenue and 5 minutes to the beach which is really convenient.
The rooms were average, we had a shared suite. One shower in one room was a glass door which was nice but the other shower in the other room had a curtain and was VERY annoying to shower in as it was tiny and the curtain kept moving towards me.

The restaurant in the hotel is lovely and has a really nice atmosphere. Breakfast is reasonably priced and nice food.

They tried to charge me $2 for a bag of ice!?! I mean really?! Not necessary..
They also tried to charge me $1 per extra towel? Also NOT necessary..

Overall this hotel is pretty average and if your looking a reasonably priced hotel in Surfers this might be the one for you.

When I was at Brisbane last november,we decided to go to Gold coast at the last moment and found this hotel. This was the cheapest hotel we could find and book 2 days in advance. We thought it might not be up to the mark. However, there were few things I really liked.
1) location is perfect: Bus service just near the hotel to take you to movie world/sea world/water world
2) lavish buffet breakfast
3) free spa/pool/sauna
4) well made up rooms
But,
the rooms looked and felt congested

My husband and I decided (last minute) to stay on the Gold Coast. I booked the first night with Agoda and got a cheap night booking for a one bedroom room. On arrival paid $15 for vallet parking which is now the go with some hotels there. To our surprise the room had a very large kitchen/ dining/loungeroom, one balcony, seperate bedroom with a king bed and bathroom. We were delighted so much that we booked another night at the hotel rates. We also liked the complimentary magagines downstairs which included Marie-Claire, Vogue, Chloe and various investment mags. The restraunt was really nice and convenient, especially on a windy night when we didn't want to venture out. A good stay overall and about 3 blocks north/ west of Cavill Mall!

Room Tip: Go online and check out the pics.

This was not what I paid for. No parking - had to park unsecured and streets away. Twin room for 4 people. Eftpos was down. The staff tried to help but still was disatissfied. Was upgraded for an additional $90 ($30 was an upgrade fee).

Room Tip: Would not recommend this hotel. Would not recommend booking through booking.com

This hotel was on our favourites list until the prices were jacked up in recent times. We love the quiet location a short distance from the action, the buffet breakfast is wonderful and the pool area is very appealing. The rooms are very spacious and well kept the beds a bit hard but comfortable and the staff have always been helpful. If the prices hadn't been raised we would still be going there. There are too many other good options in the price range now, so we go elsewhere.

Room Tip: request a room on the west side of the hotel if you like a quiet space or the east if you like to se...

Our daughter was traveling abroad with People to People and unfortunately left her glasses and back up contacts at home. We contacted the hotel since it was the next stop on their journey to find out what we needed to do to insure that she would receive her package. I can not begin to tell you how nice Craig was in helping us with our concerns. We must have called the hotel 4 times that week to make sure the package not only arrived but that she would receive it when she checked in. He was very sweet and understanding with us being almost 10,000 miles away. He made sure she had everything she needed and was very sweet and patient every time we called. Thank you.
