“Amazing!”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

So we hadn't planned on staying here but due to there being a few more of us then planned, and uni games being on so all the hostels were booked, we ended up here for two nights. We loved it! The staff were so accommodating when we were trying to book up our rooms! They took us out on Big Night Out, and even though there were only 7 of us, the staff made it an amazing night!

We ended up in a double room, which wasn't just a room, it was an apartment! For the money we paid it was more than worth it!

The hostel bar is dead cheap, and again the staff were so friendly!

It is a bit further out then some of the other hostels, but you can't complain when you can walk down the beautiful beach! And it was only like 15-20 minute walk!

Really enjoyed this hostel and would definitely stay there again!

Thanks guys!!!!!!

I stayed in this hostel for 2 nights, necessary enough to have an idea of how it was.
The location is not good, halfway between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, in practice there is nothing within 1 or 2 km but is well connected by many buses.
Good and friendly welcome, my room was a 6 beds mix dorm, at first glance small and not very clean.
The bathroom was spacious but it is not very clean.
This hostel has a great play ground with volleyball court and basketball court.
The kitchen is spacious and well stocked but you have to rent plates, cutlery, cups etc. .. and after 10:30 pm. it is closed, so you can not eat or take your own food from the fridge!
Next to the kitchen there is a small bar selling beers.
The pool is accessible to all guests and aesthetically beautiful.
There is a decent free wifi signal but unfortunately it is only valid from 7:30 am. to 10:30 pm. then after a certain time no more wifi!

Had the most AMAZING TIME here In Surfers Paradise Backpackers Resort!!
I absolutely loved it!! All of the staff where incredible, So genuine, friendly and willing to help with everything, hospitality was just beautiful
I instantly felt so at home by everyone's warm welcome, The hostel itself has everything you need, very clean and well maintained, free wifi, free transport to the main center and to clubs every night!,volleyball everyday was super fun, chillen in the games room, sauna! and pool!. The bar was the most chilled place ever to kick back and enjoy cheap drinks and make more friends!, I really did become part of one big happy family here!
I miss you all already!, Ive stayed in places around Surfers Paradise before but this was by far the best.
Also the prices are very affordable and for all that I received out of my stay..I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
To anyone heading to Surfers Paradise I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you stay here

Diyanah,

Stayed for a couple of nights at the start of April.. Stayed in a six man dorm which was nice and clean.. The swimming pool was nice and also the basketball and volleyball court was good to keep you occupied... Your not allowed bring your own beer which is a pain but seems to be the norm in Queensland.. There is a bar doh and it's very reasonable with there prices.. Would recommend to others passing threw the Gold Coast

Stayed in a 2 bedroom/4 bedded apartment with shared bathroom/kitchen with my mum during our travels around Australia, we were here for 1 night and were very impressed. There was free wifi - however you had to be in the communal area to access it. Breakfast is not included but crockery was available with a deposit. The hostel was very clean and tidy and the staff were friendly & helpful. There was an onsite licensed bar which sold cheap booze. The hostel is ideally situated 5 minutes free shuttle bus to the CBD, and 5 minute walk to the beach. The hostel had an awesome atmosphere, and was very relaxed. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

I stayed here over the past weekend where I was in the Gold Coast for a professional development course. Chose the place as it's only a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel and accessible via public transport (the Gold Coast Highway runs literally outside its front door). Pleasantly surprised by how clean the 6-bed dorm was and how the other backpackers generally wind down after 10pm so you can get a decent night's sleep. Drawbacks - no A/C in the room and no single-gender dorm rooms. Overall, it was good value for money.

The good thing about renting an apartment at Surfers Paradise Backpackers Resort is that you can have the place to yourself at a nominal price. There is a good bar at the resort which does good cocktails and beer, of course! Quiet and funky, this place is atmospheric and has several backpackers engaging in conversation, hanging out or just swapping stories. We were happy to cook for ourselves and just chill. But the wi-fi can be slow!
Gold Coast is one of the best places in Australia and we did wild sky-diving whilst here.
Overall, a fantastic place and worth the value!
