Stayed with friends on the 52nd floor, which faced north so you got the view of Surfers Paradise; ocean; stretching right up to the hinterland. It was a fantastic view, because at night if you are just looking over the ocean during the day, well its pitch black and can't see anything. However, facing towards the hinterland you have all the lights of Surfers Paradise and beyond.
The apartment was so so. Carpet need cleaning as did the lounge suite, and not much air conditioning which you needed as you got the sun rise, all through the day and sun set. I feel that the owners perhaps thought the view would distract, but not true and we were told it was WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY, and that is not true either!
Daily cleaning was very slack, we had to call for service. Food at Long Board Jacks (I think) was abfab, and Q1 is surrounded by an assortment of restaurants, bottle shop, so you don't go for wanting.
Would I stay there again, probably not, because of the slack service and the apartment we were in, did not warrant the amount of money that was paid.
