International Beach Resort
Reviewed 4 February 2010

This hotel is the equivalent of a 2 star hotel. For what we paid ($177 for one night) we were expecting at least a clean room and air conditioning. Instead we found a dirty room and the air con was not working. It was a hot night and as the window wouldn't open it was very uncomfortable. In the morning we were disturbed by the sun coming in as the curtains were crap. The staff were not friendly or helpful and the whole hotel is in need of a major makeover. The spa was full of sand. Only good thing about the hotel is the location, which is probably how they get away with charging so much for such a crap hotel.

This was the most horrible place I have ever seen. It was filthy dirty falling apart and the aircon didn't work. To add insult to injury it wasn't cheap and the staff were rude. I would rather sleep in the street. The only good thing there is to say about it is the location.

i loved staying here and i will be coming back again to stay. it is so close to everything! the view is to best! not only can you see the beach but you can look down on the big pool and spa. the pool is nice and big and is usually has no more then 1 or 2 in it. some time none. and if you like the beach its only 10m out the door. as for the rooms.for the price you could not ask for much more. big, clean and nice bed and big balcony. serve was good for us we got here at 10am and our room was ready. the only bad thing was we had to leave a $200 deposit that none told us about so it had to come out of our spending money!!

This was the worst hotel i have ever been to! On arrival we approached an old reception staff who couldnt seem to care less that we existed and were ready to check in. We were then told that our room was not ready at 2pm check in time and waited on their uncomfortble old cain lounges for almost an hour!!! Once we got fed up with waiting we asked the rude staff if our room was ready and our room had been ready and we were not even informed. Then when checking in we were informed that a $200 bond was payable which was not specified when i confirmed the booking with them the day before!!! So we then proceeded to tromp around surfers looking for an ATM. Once back at the hotel there was now a pile up of people waiting to check in so once again we waited! Service there is so slow! finally got to our room after waiting 1 and half hours. Room was disgusting!! it had mould everywhere and and old wet smell!!!! Balcony railings i think would have fallen off if we leant on them and bathroom was filled with mould all over the tiles. Bed must have had bed bugs all through it cause it was that old!! Stove was shocking!!! dont bother cooking while your there!!! And at 4:30am in the morning our building got evacuated due to a fire alarm!! This was all in 1 days stay! so glad we left asap in the morning. It was terrible. i dont recommend anyone stay there at all!!! For $190 a night you can really see that all you pay for is the view!

This hotel looked half decent on the outside, but when i was greeted by a ciggarette stinking black teeth saggy old lady, i knew i was in for a treat... Very rude service, and did not make eye contact... elevator felt as old as the builing.. 40 years i think... and was damaged to the point of not return.. ROOM WAS DISCUSTING, Mouldy furniture and holes in curtains paint walll falling off the walls, smelt like wet towels.. very small and dingy, lucky i didnt bring my family, The bed springs were poking me in the back , and i couldnt beleive the slop they served up for buffett breakfast, powdered eggs and old bacon, with some nice watered down orange juice.. absolutely pathetic, THIS HOTEL GIVES SURFERS PARADISE A REALLY BAD NAME...
