“Absolute beach front at Broadbeach”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

We have stayed here four times over the past several years. The rooms are above average without being secacular. The BBQ area is superb right on the beach and a great area for a steak and beer and to meet oter guests. Pool and spa area good as is tennis court. About 15min walk to main Broadbeach strip. Patrolled beach right outside the hotel. Great location or families with kids

Room Tip: Make re you arrange beach front unit or you will be looking at hotels across the road.

Location is fine but don't book and pre-pay for a one-bedroom apartment here. We stay on Gold Coast usually at least 4 times annually and this is the worst apartment we have encountered by far.Parking spots are miniscule, apartment 13G extremely shabby to say the least. Broken tap in bathroom on arrival, carpets very worn and shabby, kitchen shelving not clean, fridge interior not clean, tiles above bath disgusting with mildew. Furniture is so poorly maintained and laundry facilities are gross. We definately won't be using the filthy stove!Receptionist was pleasant in company with a very dis-interested male. Think again before booking here as have spoken to another guest in lift and he also agreed not to let it spoil his holiday. There are so many wonderful apartments to choose from on Gold Coast so give this one a wide berth!

Room Tip: Try Bel Air or any other than Breakers North.

My partner and i stayed here for a week. Room was really nice with a good view from the balcony. Close to surfers and broadbeach. The bus stop is a two minute walk down the road. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We stayed in 6D, overall apartment was big & mostly nicely furnished. Comfortable lounge & beautiful view out the balcony window. Apartment could have done with a decent dusting & the bathroom sinks needed a clean (orange grime & hair in both). The family bathroom shower was new & clean but the ensuite shower needed a good clean & maybe a bit of update. This bathroom looked like it had been partly updated. Beds were comfortable (king in master), double & single in other room. Bed covers looked like they needed an update or good clean. Broken blinds in both the bedrooms, which we advised Jim & he said they would be fixed(but not done while we were there). Kitched had been updated to minimal standard - the fridge was dirty in the chrisper (which we didn't use for this reason). Jim on reception was great - contacted by phone & email prior to visit & couldn't have been more helpful. Reasured that room was of good standard & great views & thats what we got. Spa, pool & BBQ were great - Spa very warm (fantastic) -kids loved them, very clean & well maintained. Very quiet place to stay - the first couple of nites the kids thought the waves were planes - thats how close you are to the water. Good stroll, bit of exercise to Broadbeach & Surfers Paradise each day (especially after not always eating the best food while on holidays). We used our legs, Taxi's & public transport -which were all good. Would recommend to others, speak to Jim when booking. Would stay again!!!. Stayed July 2011.

I stayed here with my family for 2 weeks in June 2011. We stayed in unit 6d which had views of both the ocean and hinterland. We didn't pay for beachfront so we were excited about the view.

The room was in good condition. It could do with a good clean but suprising was clean when we arrived. We did the usual sweep and mop because of the kids. The kitchen was limited with utensils but you have to remember that these units are owned by individuals and they don't like to spend money on them. The bathroom's were updated and the kitchen was't too bad. Nice leather couch to sit down and watch the big tv with Foxtel. The balcony was nice too but a bit cool at night.

Hot water was fine. People have to remember that the unit is about 90 litres located in the same unit so if the hot water runs out, you have used too much. Don't run a bath then expect to have a shower straight away! let the unit heat up again!

We used the pool and spa. Heated pool was fantastic for the kids. Spa was nice and relaxing. We used the BBQ once - clean and easy to use. We went to the beach every day.

Car park was fine. All high rise appartments will have some tight car parks. Park outside if you can't drive in allocated car space!

The managers were fine. I arrived late Saturday and was able to get my key from the letter box - not hard at all. Managers were fine. Jim is a happy bloke and will talk to you. His wife is a bit strange. She showed us some appartments in 2009 and was helpful. this time nice for a few days until one day I asked about the appartment for sale and she snapped my head off about the rates. I was only asking a question!!

I would return and request the same unit again. The 6th floor is higher enough!

Our windoiw to the kids room didn't lock and I reported it but it was still broken when we left. The owners ahould fix little problems likle that ASAP.

Overall I would recommend and stay again. Some people want too much from their stay. If your unhappy, go and pay $300 plus a night at a luxuary hotel.

Was value for money. Stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom unit which was older but still nice. Other family members stayed at the same time and were on the 15th floor which was a much nicer and more modern room.
Location is walking distance to shops, restaurants and right on the beach.
Negative is that the sauna wasn't hot at all despite being on for close to 40 minutes.
Would stay again however there are more romantic options available if that was what you were after.
