Please take a minute to read my review as it may save you from a bad deal.
We travelled from Adelaide and stayed 7 nights from Easter 2012. The deal started with a Spreets coupon but transferred to Wowstays then Rewards Corp and was for a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment x 7 days for 2 adults and one child. On arrival we were very disappointed to find that there was no "guaranteed high floor upgrade" as promised and paid for. Instead we were given an "upgrade" to a two bedroom two bathroom apartment - floor 7 of 48, North tower looking North, three wonderful balconies all looking directly at a huge black glass office tower directly across the road. No view and no privacy! We hated it and felt ripped off as the guaranteed high floor upgrade was one of the main reasons for the booking. I dont think it would be possible to get a worse outlook in this resort.
We complained but were told that the complex was fully booked out. Really? - 3 towers with 48 floors each in low season - I doubt it!
We were stuck with no other options. Airfares were locked in. It was school holidays. We left curtains closed for most of the stay.
Floor 10 or above of north tower would have given a view over the black tower of death or even same floor with different aspect would have been a huge improvement. Sadly, as we discovered the hard way, when you book thru a Spreets / Wowstays coupon deal it would seem you have no leverage as they all say it’s not their fault or problem. We booked and paid in full 6 months in advance so there really is no excuse. IMHO I believe it's a scam because as we also discovered, there are multiple rental apartment "pools" and you do not get access to them all (depends who you book through) and there is no transparency or consistency. We did not get any room service in the 7 days we were there as other visitors have reported. Even ran out of toilet paper on day 3.
The room condition was bearable, certainly not as bad as some other reviewers have reported of other rooms in this resort (guess it depends who owns the apartment as to how it gets maintained) carpets were a little frayed on the edge to the kitchen, TV reception was appaling, lounge chairs were split in places, both hair dryers didn't work and the beds were shockingly uncomfortable to sleep in - certainly not hotel standard.
On a positive note - great central location as other reviewers have said but could have been so much better had they delivered what they promised.
We were offered free breakfast for the 3 of us for the entire stay (7 days) as compensation and with no other option available we grudgingly accepted this however this too IMHO ended up as a scam. Firstly there were not enough vouchers for the 3 of us for 7 days (only 14 given) and secondly we were led to believe that we could order any breakfast item from the menu at local restaurant Baritalia in the mall below. Instead, on arrival at the restaurant we were presented with a special "towers menu" which meant minimal choice and smaller servings compared to what the other diners were getting. Our only child aged 10 had to pay full price (average $16) from the standard menu which was expensive compared to what's available elsewhere on the strip and was not allowed to participate in the "children eat free promotion" as other vouchers were being used at the same time.
To finish - all Queensland holiday apartments of this type are a lottery where you can win or lose but in this case IMHO it's probably fair to say that the odds were somehow stacked and we didn't get what was advertised and paid for!

Room Tip: If you are offered a guaranteed high floor upgrade - dont believe it for a second. Once you are there you will be stuck with what they offer you.

Currently staying at Chevron Renaissance, Surfers Paradise. This Apartment Holiday Location was so much better than I could have imagined. I got a cheap rate over the internet and when we arrived at our apartment we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 26th floor and ocean, pool & hinterlands views. The apartment was quite big & spotlessly clean. The swimming pools are fantastic, both outside and inside. The staff are very accommodating with all requests. As a family of 5, this apartment location ticks all the boxes. Has a shopping centre with Coles etc below. Being April, the weather has been quite warm (25-30 degree's). Will definately return to Chevron again in the future this time of year as the crowds aren't here and the deals are fantastic. Would highly recommend this Apartment location for anyone.

We stayed at the Chevron Rebaissance Towers in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 27th Floor over the school holidays for 6 nights. The room was very large overlooking the ocean the only problem was the glass was very dirty so it was fustrating looking outside so we would open the doors so we could have a better view. The apartment was ok the furniture in the living area was old and felt quiet sticky so i had to spray and clean the couch, table and chairs were very worn and really need replacing I had to clean those as well before we could sit on them. the walls had alot of marks on them from the entrance to the living area. The bedrooms and bathroom were fine only the kids bedroom sliding door was jammed shut so we couldn't open as it got warm there during the night. I did except better as I know not all the rooms are the same, beacuse friends of ours were staying in another room and theirs was much more modern and clean. We both booked through the Chevron so the apartments were not privately owned. I should have complained at the reception but my husband said to let it go. I think the owners of the apartment should keep the rooms at a certain standard to keep the rating. Other than that the facilities a great when its not too busy as it can get quiet croweded especially it was the easter period.

I have stayed here several times and can't say anything bad about it. Surfers paradise is a very busy place with many young peolpe, so if you like to be where all the action is, then this is the place for you. It is centrally located....literally a few steps to Cavill avenue and main beach, near restaurants, cafes and transport.

The rooms are not serviced daily but are modern apartments with fully equipped kitchens. We have always had pool views. The lagoon pool is absolutely gorgeous and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at chevron and so have many of my friends.

We booked an apartment privately through Stayz, 35th floor, 2354, tower 2, full ocean view. Two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus 3rd toilet powder room. The apartment was clean, neat and nice decor.
The location can not be beaten, tower 2 Skyline North, directly above the Coles supermarket and shops. Bus stop to all the theme parks just across the road. The views are superb and would always go for the ocean views if staying here, what a way to wakeup.
Hassle free meet and greet for the key pick up too :)
The clothes dryer however didn't work properly so drying clothes on a small rack was a bit painful but this is a minor issue which I will advise the owner of upon our return. It seemed a bit pointless to worry about it whilst here.
Sad to leave today but will be back :):)
