“Good Value for Money”
Reviewed 18 June 2013

We stayed Thursday - Sunday in June 2013 and we were very pleasantly surprised with how nice the apartment was. For the price we were expecting a lot less. The apartment was very clean and tidy with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms – main with ensuite. It had a large lounge room over looking the pool and spa which was very nice. For 4 adults this was perfect. My adult sons enjoyed the spa after a day at Movie World – it was a bit too cold for mum and dad! Unlike “Kylie E” we had toilet paper in both toilets and plenty of tea and coffee. The lady in Reception was very helpful and nice. She also quickly responded to my email questions before we arrived as we were arriving after hours.
We found the apartment to be in a very convenient location. My adult sons walked to the Casino and we had easy access to the main highway to drive to Movie World and Dream World as well as a quick drive up to Surfers itself.
If you are doing a family holiday for 4 people and you are on a budget, I would highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 10 overlooking the pool and spa.

Staff were wonderful. Apartment looked nice. Didn't like that our apartment was on top of the driveway as we kept hearing the gate opening. Wish they would give us more toilet paper as we only had one roll to share for both of the toilets. There was no coffee or sugar but said in the book there was. Try to go to the front desk but no one was there. When leaving wanted to tell them the review in person but on one there again so had to put the keys in the box.

My family booked through the internet - we were a bit worried aferwards when we saw some of the negative review son tripadvisor!. However, the apartment was more than adequate considering what we paid.It had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms so for a family of 4 ideal. The pool looked inviting but the weather was cold and rainy so didn't use it.. The lady at reception was very helpful and friendly. All in all a good place to stay.

You get what u pay 4. One of the cheapest for 2 kids & 2 adults. Doors that lead to balcony need fixing, $5 per day for air cond a bit steep but the weather was good so we didnt need it, but apart from that a nice place to stay.Lady at front desk a pleasure to deal with.

Really disappointing - in fact checked in and then left within hours. Mould in the bedroom, fan in bedroom didn't work, fan in lounge room not connected properly so rocked badly when turned on. floor had sticky surface on it. common areas (stairwells etc) looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Could go on and on. No reception at all so could not give feedback in person - just left and put the key in the security box.. Do not be fooled by the promotional photos. We felt unsafe letting our children go to the pool.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

I and 4 other friends booked the apartment through the internet - we were a bit concerned at some of the negative reviews we read before our trip. However, we were pleasantly surprised that the apartment was good value for what we paid. Also the Apartment was listed on the Gold Coast airport shuttle service which we had booked with door-to-door pickup and drop off, including to the theme parks. The normal bus services are also about 10 minutes walk. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and the beach is about 15 minutes walk. The Manager, Louise was very pleasant too.

Room Tip: This is not a serviced apartment...so do not expect housekeeping service.

We discovered all these bad reviews a week before we were due to arrive so were cringing when we got there. We ended up staying in the block nearest the street, on the right. For a family of two adults and two young children it was a perfect base. The apartment and two rooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and balcony. It was due for some sprucing up , no doubt about it - holes in some of the screens, generally scruffy/knocked about in places, but it was spotlessly clean, and served us perfectly for our 6 nights. Secure garaging, beautiful palm gardens, and a clean swimming pool area with attached spa pool where we spent most evenings watching the bats circling overhead. Management were friendly and helpful. For the price and great location we were very happy.
