Description: The Vale Hotel and Graziers Steakhouse has developed a reputation in North Queensland for serving the perfect, superbly tender, aged 100% Australian steaks. Select your cut from the chilled cabinet and have it char-grilled by Grazier trained master chefs. We serve our steaks in the grass roots fashion with Caesar salad, chips and a choice of sauces. After 28 years serving first-class meals, the Grazier Steakhouse underwent a complete revamp. In late 2012 we reopened a beautiful new Steakhouse with a renewed focus on delivering the perfectly cooked prime steaks. For the non-meat eaters, our range of fresh seafood, salads and herb crumbed schnitzels will not disappoint.

Not bad at all. Good kids room and food was also fairly good. All in all not a bad place for families.

Five of us enjoyed lunch here. We ordered a variety of meals, four of which excellent. There was a small complaint re the side salads which were a bit tasteless and a bit of a mishmash of flavours. The barramundi was excellent and the Pumpkin salad was delicious. When one diner said they were unhappy with their meal the waitress apologised and then returned to the table with a refund for the meal and offered a complimentary dessert as an apology. Service was friendly and efficient, we enjoyed our meal and will be regulars in future.

We frequent this restaurant a lot as we live only a few streets away. We heard that it had just re-opened after being closed for over a month for a massive renovation (the rest of the pub isn't finished yet but the restaurant was done first). I love what they have done - inside looks brand new, and the new terrace is a 10 fold improvement on the outdoor dining area they had before. Outdoor area looks great, would be nice out there for lunch I'd say. They also have an entirely new menu, and with the renovations it looks like they have made some changes in the kitchen too because they presentation and quality of the food is far better than it was the last time we have been. I decided to order the American rib eye medium rare. My steak was cooked to perfection, and came out with a generous side of caesar salad (which was really only lettuce and cheese with caesar dressing) and a decent side of chips. Both of the friends I was with ordered off the new chicken schnitzel menu (a bunch of crumbed chicken schnitzels with toppings on them). One of my friends had the seafood one which had prawns, bug meat and seafood dressing on the top which was apparently amazing, and the other ordered the "moo-haha" which had sour cream, guacamole and salsa on top (pretty much nachos with chicken instead of cornchips) which was also pretty decent. The meals took about half an hour to come out after we ordered which is pretty decent in peak hour. The service was good but the only let down was no table service - you have to get up and order your meals and drinks separately at the bar...but being a bistro at a pub I guess that's fair enough and it has been that way every time I've been there. The bar is fairly well stocked - they finally have proper tap beer in the restaurant now not the oldschool ones that came straight from the coldroom-temperature kegs (which were never cold enough). Also looks like they have a way bigger selection of bottled beer too with a couple of boutiques. After dinner we all went down and had a flutter on the pokies. The gaming area and tab part are still half way through being renovated, but the progress looks like it's going to be a nice place (similar to the dalrymple hotel across town). My friend won over $100 and gave us cash to cover the meals, so we basically ate for free :D Will definitely be back.

The food is average and the service is the same. We had a party of 12 and some of our guest were waiting for meals long after some had finished though we all ordered the same time.
