As locals, we go to the Sweatshop quite often - our most frequently visited cafe in town. You NEED to order Jaffles. That's what the place is renowned for and for good reason. And plus they're only $7! They have tonnes of options and all the ones we've tried are great. I'm a vegetarian and I recommend the Sweet P (but there are 2 others to choose from also) and my boyfriend loves the Meat Pie, Burrito and Cheeseburger equally (so much so that he orders all three in one sitting). The fresh juices are fantastic as is their homemade iced coffee (not as sweet as the bought ones). They also have a range of baked sweet treats that change daily and every one that I've tried is delicious. Try to go a little earlier or later than the peak lunch time as it can take a while for your order to come when it's busy. The staff are always lovely even when rushed off their feet. The Sweatshop is a bit of a hipster hangout, but we're not hipsters by any accounts but they don't judge us! Try and snag the Jenga from the array of games they've got on offer. Fun for while you're waiting.

Brilliant cup of coffee and my breakfast jaffle was great, very tasty. Love the decor and the funky tunes and friendly staff. It does take a while for the kitchen to get the food out though which is the only disappointing aspect. Seriously the best cup of coffee I've ever had in Townsville

A really cool, artistic little café with excellent breakfast and lunch options. We gathered that the people who work in 'The Sweatshop' are mostly artists and creative types and they did the funky artwork on the walls, some of which are also for sale. For food, we recommend the burgers and freshly-squeezed juices. There's also an extensive, interesting jaffle menu we'll have to try next time.

The coffee and muesli were good - service was a bit slow on the day so maybe an extra staff would help. Overall a great place to just chill out on a Sunday morning (as they are now open early yay!), there were a few families playing board games and having fun. They have some funky artwork on the walls so always something to look at.

I will be back!

I come down here all the time to get away from the office and work and it's great. Free wifi, good tunes and great food and drink make the sweatshOp a great place to hang.

Try the Americana burger, any of the jaffles and the spider or milo frappe! Sweets are amazing too.
