WOW, OMG and any other three letter acronym you can think of - words do not do this location justice!

I've been watching the Bedarra website for over a year, eagerly waiting for information on when it would be opening and when they could take bookings, so I was ecstatic when in February Kerri-Ann took our reservation. After a little hiccup delaying our arrival, we eventually set foot on Bedarra on Wednesday 14th August by helicopter. What made it even more special was that our first day and night, we had the resort to ourselves - how lucky did we feel!

The location is beautiful, the area is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous. More importantly, what more could you expect from the elite team that Kerri-Ann and Sam have put together. Elyza and Jimmy from an F&B perspective and Steve from knowing which reefs to snorkel and take the boats out to for the day - oh and eat the massive picnic that again Jimmy has put together.

We stayed in one of the pavillions which was gorgeous with fabulous plunge pool, lay out and spectacular views.

I know people are reading this thinking there must have been something wrong.....and yes there was - we didnt stay long enough, although our waistlines have grown with the sumptuous food delights and the wine recommendations with each course.

Sam, it was a pleasure meeting you and we feel so lucky that you were actually on site acting as GM for the whole of our stay and many thanks to you and Kerri-Ann for everything and for the belated birthday dinner surprise... Jimmy you surpassed yourself again and raised the bar.

All there is to say, if anyone is thinking about booking Bedarra... stop thinking - do it, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Thank you to the whole team, including those back of house that weren't always visible but definitely part of the team making this such a beautiful beach house to stay at.

See you all again soon - Mike & Maria

As I write this, we are still on the island! Sitting in Villa 14, listening to the waves down below lap against the shore and knowing that we are quite lucky in the fact that we are two of four people in the resort right now. Including staff. From kayaking with a family of turtles, to lunching in a neighbouring island on the sand, devouring a seafood platter that we will probably never see the likes of again, standup paddle boarding in the bay and just enjoying the quietness of the island. We even discovered the resident willy wagtail who enjoys bathing himself in our plunge pool each afternoon.
We return here after ten years and find it even better and you truly feel as if you have the place to yourselves, even when you know there are potentially 6 other couples here. Jimmy the chef, wowed us from the start and his passion for food is evident in the way he talks about it and the way he presents it. Jason was most welcoming when we arrived and always on hand when we needed him. Keenan brought us our seafood platter which we never thought would end and was a truly awesome, a taste sensation! Spend a little extra to have plunge pool and the day bed on hand and you will probably not want to really leave your villa. A great place to unwind, renew and relax completely.

Room Tip: Villa 14 is truly quiet and relaxing. A little bit extra on the cost side, but worth it!

I spent three months researching an Australian getaway location, luckily I found Bedarra, it completely lives up to its barefoot luxury statement. Kerrie-Ann and Sam have created this island/holiday house atmosphere with the perfect balance of luxury and environmental awareness. From the moment you reach the shores of Bedarra and Jason greets you with a cocktail you instantly feel relaxed and excited. Relaxed because the only decisions you have to make are whether to take a boat on an adventure to neighbouring islands or simply do nothing and take in the beautiful surroundings. Its the little things like at the end of the look out walks are too chairs to truly soak up the stunnning veiws, to your mini bar being stocked everyday while you are at your home cooked breakfast with your favorites drinks. Everything is catered for you; the food and matching wines were fantastic, we also caught a coral trout on neighbouring Coombe Island and had it cooked for dinner; our villa was stunning (14); the staff are experienced and friendly – simply nothing was too much trouble. If you only have a week or so to holiday each year I highly recommend Bedarra if you want a 100% relaxing and reviving breakaway from your busy life.

Room Tip: Thank you Kerrie-Ann. On arrival Jason showed us our villa (the Point) and we immediately surrended...

Desperate for some relaxation, rest and recovery my wife and I selected Bedarra Island for its seclusion and limit of 14 people at anyone time. What makes Bedarra so special though is the owner's vision of having a luxury Island with a relaxed feel. This vision is brought to life through the excellent staff and service which is warm, friendly and highly accommodating to your every need. By the end of your time here, you feel like you have known them for years.

Bedarra also offers a range of activities so there is always something to do. Or, you can do absolutely nothing, like we did, and soak up the sun on the range of very comfortable lounges and hammocks lazily spread around the beaches.

Our villa was fabulous with an infinity pool and amazing views.

Chef Jimmy delights you with his amazing food and presentation skills and is always willing to provide cooking demonstrations of your favourite dishes, can't wait for the cook book!

We will be back for more of The Bedarra Experience........and recommend it to anyone needing to recharge.

We just celebrated our 10th Anniversary at the newly re-opened Bedarra Island Resort. We we were originally booked to travel to Hawaii for a week's-long vacation, but when work got in the way we had to "settle" for two nights at Bedarra. We were blown away. The natural physical beauty of the island is incredible. The rock formations set against crystal clear water and palm lined beaches makes for an unbeatable combination. We stayed in one of The Pavilions. It was stunning and secluded. We felt like we were on a deserted island all to ourselves. But the best part of the trip was the staff. We have stayed at many 5-star resorts (including several of Bedarra's Australian competitors) and no where has come close to the level of detail and attention the staff gave us here. When we casually mentioned that we were unable to go to Hawaii for our Anniversary they pulled out all of the stops. They created a spectacular Hawaiian themed dinner (including leis, coconut drinks, Hawaiian music and the food that was on the menu at our previously booked hotel in Hawaii). All set up on a gorgeous private deck overlooking the beach and ocean. It seriously almost brought tears to my eyes.

All I can is to say thank you to everyone at Bedarra that made our 10th Anniversary one we will always remember.

This was the most relaxing weekend we have had in a long wall and the staff could not have done more and facilities could not have been better ingredients for a great belated birthday present for my partner

We just had 5 nights at Bedarra Island resort and it was nothing short of amazing. Every element of it was perfect - the transfer from airport to helicopter, chopper ride to the island, cocktails on arrival followed by lunch and incredible villa. We stayed in villa 1 The Point and it was beautiful. Built overlooking the bay, plunge pool, mezzanine King Size bed and huge bathroom with bath also looking over the bay. However this is not what really made the experience fantastic. It was the crew running the place. Very small team but each a master in what they do. Jimmy the Head chef was amazing - every meal innovative and delicious with support from second chef and fishing devotee Keanan. Marine expert and general solution provider Steve, Wine extraordinaire Elyza with a flair for all things complementary and great back of house crew Sue, Deb, Ken and Don made the place run like clockwork. All of this after being open for barely 2 weeks post Cyclone recovery. Huge compliments to owners and host Sam and Kerryanne, for everything from the sustainable approach to overall ethos and thanks to Jodi for the warm welcome. We will most certainly be back.

Room Tip: Book in advance. We were lucky but this place will I am sure be in high demand. Only 7 villas availa...
