“Stunning Beach Getaway”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This is an absolutely beautiful beach house situated in a stunning location. I spent 5 nights at Bedarra Beachcombers for a girls’ Easter long weekend away. The house is absolutely gorgeous, with spectacular views from every angle, the photos don’t do it justice. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of comfortable spaces to read a book, enjoy a wine or simply relax (many naps were had in the hammock). The island itself is stunning, white sandy beaches which we mostly had to ourselves for the entire weekend, crystal clear water and lots of big boulders and palm trees make perfect photo opportunities.
Everything was brilliant, including the friendly service from the boat driver and the caretakers. I would definitely recommend this paradise for anyone who was wanting to take time out and recharge their batteries.

“Island Paradise”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Stunning location - I felt like a VIP! The property and bungalows were amazing - situated to take advantage of the stunning views. I also loved the semi outdoor bathrooms, all of the creature comforts with a bit of nature as well. My favorite memory was dozing under a palm tree looking up at the butterflies.

Thank you Bedarra Beachcombers for a holiday that I will remember for years to come. I hope to return to this beautiful place one day.

“Bedarra - the place to go to really unwind”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I spent Easter weekend at this amazing house on Bedarra Island - a last chance to relax and do nothing with the girls before baby 1 arrives this May. And, it did not disappoint. Like staying at a friend's house that has been lovingly prepared for long-awaited guests we felt at home immediately on arrival. We were able to prearrange delivery of groceries which made transport very easy (although like a friend's place, the pantry was already stocked with all the staples, and more!). The bed was super comfortable and the house? Private with the best hammock and everything we needed to relax and unwind. Absence of cars, shops and other distractions on the island mean that all you can do is relax and take in the incredible scenery. The beach is just a short walk away and is secluded and spectacular. I could not have asked for more!

“Million dollar location!”
Reviewed 18 January 2016 for a stay in September 2015

Bedarra Island was always a bucket list destination, but I couldn't justify the $2000 a night cost of the resort. When I discovered private holiday listings for the island, I was intrigued. When I arrived at Bedarra Beachcombers, I was in heaven!
ISLAND NOTES
* it really is as stunning as its pictures. White sand, aqua water, palm trees
* you have access to 2 small cove beaches. We came off-peak season and had the cove to ourselves. The day we departed was the beginning of school holidays and a family of 8 arrived. If you want solitude, be selective with dates
* no shops, no cars, no roads, no noise. My idea of heaven! The island is tiny and steep. If you have mobility issues, this isn't the holiday for you. Otherwise, divine.
* perfect phone and wifi signal (our Optus modem) if you want to stay in touch
THE HOUSE
* three pavilions snaking their way up the mountainside, connected by external steps. You will need a torch at night.
* pavilion 1: two lounge spaces, a generous kitchen with an excellent oven and gas stove. Comfy furniture, hammock and pizza oven on the deck (we didn't brave it!). Heaps of good crockery, cutlery and glasses should you travel as a group. An outside toilet/shower for beach rinse offs.
* pavilion 2: master bedroom with kitchenette, ensuite and generous furnished deck for sundowners. Comfy king bed.
* pavilion 3: 2nd bedroom with queen size. There is an internal spiral staircase to a loft bedroom, but no door to shut access between the two. Would work best for kids. Another bathroom, but this one is outside. I kinda liked the novelty of showering with a view!
* total privacy - you could essentially stroll naked through the whole compound with no one able to see in. Perfect!
* small selection of books and board games on site
* some basic essential grocery items in pantry, in case you forgot the salt/flour.
WOULD WE RETURN?
In a heartbeat. Have already booked to bring our two 11-yr-olds this coming September. And it won't be our last....
Thank you for creating the holiday house we wish we owned Lorraine - it's an amazing piece of paradise

“An ideallic holiday to get away from it all and truly relax.”
Reviewed 16 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

A most beautiful house and location that just oozes charm, comfort, and peace. An ideal setting to immerse oneself in the beauty of an island environment, superb cove like beach, warm waters, tropical gardens, and all the creature comforts one could want in stylish accommodation. Sit back, relax, swim, paddle, read and enjoy the company of partners, friends or family. Can't wait for a return visit!

“The ultimate paradise getaway!!!!”
Reviewed 16 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

What an amazing house and island!! We were a party of four girlfriends with the ultimate aim of restoring our batteries and thats exactly what we did. The house is beautifully furnished and appointed. Breath taking views from every aspect, whether you were preparing a meal, having a quiet cocktail on the balcony or even lying in bed!! A tranquil walk down a rain forest path takes you to a beach that I thought only existed in the movies, oh how completely gorgeous, water warm and clear, sand white and fine. We swam morning noon and night!!
We all like to cook and love our food so the state of the art kitchen gave us every opportunity.
Oh and the bathrooms....even there the views spill into them.
I want to go back....NOW!! If you want an island paradise and a chance to reclaim yourself this is the place!
Thanks to Jason the boat driver and Steve the care taker who made our entrance and exit seamless, they could not have been more accommodating!!
