Did a day trip to Hammo and decided to play mini golf with a couple of mates. The lady on the desk got us a family price instead of paying each which saved us a few dollars, but we weren't very impressed by the difficulty or fun of the 18 holes. The first hole is a rectangle with no obstacle. The other 17 arent much harder nor adventurous. If you want to play a fun game of mini golf in the whitsundays, try DayDream island, it is way more interesting! The rest of the sports club I didn't see.

We booked several sports activities to do on a really rainy day only to be told that everyone else at the island was also there and that they were booked out. They took our family pass money and told us that AFTER we had paid and would not give a refund. we were very upset!! They then told us to come back the next day.

My husband and I used both the gym (free) and the Mini Golf ($15 each) at the Sports Club on our recent visit.

For something proclaiming to be a five-star resort, a 15ft x 15ft weights area and a dozen treadmills/stationary bikes isn't really up to scratch. Always busy, always stuffy, always hot. Also suffers from Hamilton Island's disease: inconsistent advice from staff. Told one thing one day, something different another day.

The mini-golf was garbage, both in value and experience.

We booked in our 5 & 7 year olds for the advertised tennis lessons, only to arrive on time and be told that they didn't think it was on that day...but anyway, the instructor arrived a little later so they had their lesson. Unusually, part way through the lesson, the local kids arrived for what must have been their regular lesson. My kids didn't mind at all, they actually had fun, but it was just all a bit disjointed for something that's advertised quite differently.
