We were upgraded to a sea view rooom and that gave us a view to die for. Our room was quite large and well presented and the bath room was also of a good size.Breakfast was to a standard you would expect at a Hotel of this standing. The free buses to the marina and around the island were useful. We were impressed by the Hotel service and overall couldnt fault our stay there.
Very relaxing.

Room Tip: Get a high floor sea view room.

It has been 20 years since I was last on Hamilton Island.

Stopped at the reef view hotel (level 5). Rooms were OK, resort itself is a little tired, but looks like a slow refurbishment is underway. Relaxing holiday all the same.

Room Tip: Level 5 is at the top of the palm trees, still get the ocean views - but if you want unobstructed vi...

A very warm welcome back to Hamilton Island Buck71

Must have been incredible after 20 years to see what has changed and the improvements made.

We are indeed in the middle of a multi stage refurbishment and excited to have it all completed.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday with us and I hope to welcome you back again soon.

Hopefully not so long between visits this time.

Warm regards

Great hotel clean and friendly staff. Just one thing the cockatoos raid your room if you leave the door open when you go out. They are searching for food in the mini bar they love the nuts . Totally trashed our room feaces everywhere. The staff came immediately to clean room but charged us for laundry to wash clothes that were spoiled .

Room Tip: The higher you go the better the amazing view.

We recently spent four days at this hotel for a conference and can only recommend it. We had a stunning sea view from our room on the 14th floor. In fact every time you go up in the lift, you gasp when you see the view. The room was very comfortable with a huge bathroom and all the usuals. Some people said the hotel was looking dated, but we did not think that. My husband felt the room cleaning could have been a bit more thorough – for example, they never vaccumed the carpets - and sometimes they forgot to remove or bring things to the room. But overall the service was very friendly and efficient. But the internet extremely slow, even after an upgrade.
I had quite a lot of work to do so I ordered room service a few times. The food was okay, the choice fairly limited for someone eating in a lot.
You can eat breakfast in three places – the hotel, Sailes and Koala Park. We did not go to the latter after hearing it wasn’t good. The view at Sailes was spectacular and although it served the same food as the Reef, it offered a few less choices. On the whole, although the breakfasts were solid, they may have been a bit bland.
The bus shuttle around the island was great and it is easy to get around. Remember that a lot of the Island is owned by one company so there isn’t a lot of competition. So prices would be higher at the one general store or bottle shop on the Island.
But despite my minor winges above, Hamilton Island and the Reef Hotel are great places to holiday at. The Reef also appeared to be a great conference venue, with its own conference centre. I am sure you will have a fantastic time there, especially if you just want to relax and not do too much. There's just something in the feng shui of the island that lifts you up.

Room Tip: Get a room high up so you get the spectacular view - the main reason to be in this hotel - versus lo...

Hotel was amazing the staff were really friendly and willing to help with any issue we had.
The room was fantastic, clean, really large with comfortable beds and the bathroom was beautiful.
Transport around the island was super easy with a stop at the hotel - though most things were in walking distance.

Our stay over Easter with our one year old son was very good.
The hotel overlooking Catseye beach was very nice, although a little dated made up for it with amazing view, huge room, huge bathroom with his and her basins, shower with separate bath.
The breakfast overlooking the pool was ample with a huge variety, just ask the chef for made to order omelette, eggs.
The pools were amazing - huge, clean, good temperature.
The staff including Management, & room service were very friendly, professional & no request too much trouble.
Free wifi, tea/coffee in room, concierge, pool towels replenished daily.
Snorkelling, catamarans & paddle boards free for guests.
Will definitely stay here again.

Tips:
Request a room on the upper levels for superior view

Golf buggys for hire or short walk(includes small hill) 10 minutes to Marina & shops

Keep balcony doors closed to keep out cockys

April is a good month weather wise, some tropical rain, sea temperature 26 degrees!

Daycare on the Island was very good, the Clownfish Club has fully qualified carers, very nice facilities, and after hours babysitting in your room also available.
