We had requested a twin room on a high floor and were delighted with our room on the 13th floor. The views over Catseye beach and the Whitsunday Islands was amazing. The balcony was large with chairs, coffee table and recliner. It was private, except for the dawn and dusk visits from the cockadoos! The room had 2 double beds, table and 2 chairs, 2 armchairs and coffee table and long desk/storage unit yet it was still roomy. There was an area for tea/coffee making / fridge. WiFi was available. The bathroom was equally large with 2 sink/vanity units, bath, separate shower enclosure and separate toilet. Plenty of fluffy bathroom towels and 2 beach towels each per provided daily. Housekeeping was efficient and the room and bathroom clean. (reading review about hygiene I always wash cups/glasses after use as, sad git that I am, I can't stand mess around and don't want to encourage unwanted 'critters').
Breakfast, included in the price we paid, could be taken in the hotel by the pool or at the nearby Wildlife centre. At the hotel buffet breakfast had plenty of hot dishes and salad and fruit options. We had breakfast at the Wildlife centre. The main attraction was the koalas nestling in the trees so this was popular with families but service and availability of some breakfast items was a bit chaotic.
There were several pools and plenty of sunbeds available. We preferred to use the (free) sunbeds on the beach.
Laundry facilities were available at 4 dollars per wash and 4 dollars per dryer.
The resort had free, frequent minibus services around the island so although the marina, with shops etc., was within easy walking distance, it was handy to hop on the bus.
Overall, really enjoyed our stay at the Reef View hotel.
